Picked up a set of these. They're a little wider than I expected. I may have to do a little more trimming on the interior. There isn't much room in there. |

That might be a true statement my friend. This thing has the same ground clearance as the bitch but a shorter wheelbase and a much lower center of gravity. The chassis height is significantly lower. This rig has the potential to be great! I installed a Hitec 7980 in it last night...611 oz of torque at 7.4v! The chassis was designed for it, my 7950 from before was actually too small to even reach the mount holes. I'm getting close, I just need to get my ESC and motor back from HH. |

Thanks man. No probably not. You won't see much of the interior once the body goes on and the seats get installed. The links area all rusting. The axles are pretty well used so they look fine. The body is brand new and shiney though so my theme isn't a complete junker. It will have a bunch of rust with a shiney body. It should look pretty good, kind of a contrasting finish thing. This thing may have a set of Currie axles in its future too...and they'll be gunmetal and shiney.

Well this thing has been sitting for a while without much to update. I had Holmes waterproofing the Pro4 and RS for me so it was waiting for those items. After a big discussion in our club I've been convinced that maybe the RS isn't the best thing for a Pro4 so I've ordered a MMP for it. I got most of the electronics mounted up front. Here's a shot, its a little hard to tell what's going on. There are two servos, an RX, a BEC and the simple axial light controller in this mess... The BEC and light controller are on top of the steering servo while the RX is on top of the servo winch. I still need to finish the power to the rear lights and figure out a way to mount the MMP. I may just have to build a bracket to suspend it a little above and behind the servo winch spool, hanging upside without the case on it. We'll see. I was having some trouble trying to figure out what to do with the battery. I think I'm going to put a couple 2200 mah 3 cells in the rear like this and just leave them in the rig. Its a lot of weight in the rear but I can't seem to figure out anything else that will work. There just isn't much room in this rig for much. |

Hmmm, that's true! I might have to look further into that option.

No, I don't have the MMP's yet. They should arrive tomorrow. I looked though and it does look like it will fit. I'll get it figured out. I think that might be a good spot. Yesterday all I did was plasti-dip my batteries. This way they won't show bright blue through at the edges of the body panels...and they'll be waterproof.

You plasti-dipped the MMP??? Did you dip the heat sink fins as well? Does it get hot?

Do you plan on running a body? I think alum front fender would look cool. |

That's what I was planning to do...and then just shoe goo it where saydee is talking about. I'm affraid I'm going to have to leave the battery feeds exposed in the passenger seat area so I have a place I can easily access to plug and unplug them. Not very scale though. It would be really cool if I could find some type of three way switch where I could cycle between off and the two batteries...but I think that would make charging difficult.

No, it came to me plastidipped... just the board. I then sprayed conformal coating over the whole thing. |
