Hank got his dig parts in right before the comp so there are no build pix. All we have is after pix. Hank did have time to work on the steering. I think it is about maxed out. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler001.jpg Side view of Hanks DNA and servo mount. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler002.jpg Rear MIP shaft that I cut and welded for Hank. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler003.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler004.jpg Hank did have some body damage at the comp. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler005.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...grapler006.jpg |
Looks like Hanks passenger needs to warn him about the trees before they ruin his fender and bed side.... Good looking Dig "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup" I didnt even see that at the comp on Sunday. I think Hank needs to get out there and get some body damage on the Sykesville Fire dept. Betty brush truck. |
I do not think Hank is ready for that. He spent alot of time on the betty body. I do think he liked beating on the Grappler body. With every dent he seemed to smile a little more.;-) |
Finaly got some wheeling pix for Hank. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...arageRC005.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...arageRC004.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...arageRC003.jpg Hank and I are working on a indoor coures and he managed to sheer the small pin in the Axial CVD. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...arageRC008.jpg |
looking good hanky:-P |
I wanted to add this to Hanks thread. I was just driving and it broke.;-) There was no big snap or anything. The stock pin is about 0.058 thick. The closest thing I could find out in the shop was several 1/16 drill bits. The funny thing is that they were all different by 0.001. The smallest 1/16 bit was 0.061. I put the drill bit in my dremel backwards and used the dremel to spin the bit while I held it flat on a new 4" grinder disk. I took the bit down to 0.059 and then cut 2 to length (0.442?). Broke pin http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r.../FedCVD001.jpg Cut bit with spare. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r.../FedCVD002.jpg Back together http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r.../FedCVD003.jpg I hope it will hold up. I will let you know if it does not. |
tOO fUNNY |
Hanks CVD fix has been holding up to the hard core sand of Florida.;-) I will post up some pix in a bit. |
Hank went on a family vacation to Florida. Here is the only rock we could find in Melbourne. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...Florida044.jpg Since we could not find any rocks Hank hit the beach. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...Florida085.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...Florida082.jpg |
Here is a hint to Hanks lid. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...HitchYJ001.jpg The Betty is back.8) |
The drill bit CVD pin did not hold up as well as I would have liked. Hank broke it doing a high speed dig on concrete. I need to find a better fix. |
I broke one of those pins on Sunday. Luckily I bought spares hope they hold up I may try to limit my steering some. |
Bronc, Where did you buy extras? Link please. |
