I think a fart can exhaust and a sweet wing would set off the NEONS and SPINNERS.

Then it will be AWESOME!

I'll try and post the start of the ESC work before I leave to go crawling today. I go the holes filled last night, but I might do a little more styrene work before I call it good. All the wires and plugs have been desoldered, need to modify the bottom case half and get it prepped.

Neal (Freq E Tag) came up with a good idea last night that I keep considering now. He was saying he could design a wrap for the ESC and RX. That might actually look really clean and I may take him up on it.

That sure is comming together nicely . Is that the low profile servo on the Dig? And if it is, does a standard servo fit in that chassis?

If I was copying your build it looks like so far I would've ruined one RX and be well on my way to destroying an ESC.

Cool stuff for sure.

Yes it will, here is a 5645 with Axial rod end balls as spacers and the stock mount in the OG hybrid chassis.

Cool, Thanks sangell.

I am not sure that I know any one else that has no problem cutting apart a couple hundred dollars of electronics.

All good though. Anything goes in the name of AWESOMENESS

Yup, low pro servo and as Scott shows below a standard servo fits pretty easily too

Not just cutting up either, definitely trying to add to them as well. I am posting up part one of the ESC mods now.

ESC Modifications
Part 1

Started off with a Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster ESC. I wanted to use this ESC for it's power handling and huge internal BEC. This will keep the clutter down in the chassis. However for this build I just don't like the look, so I am changing it

First thing I did was disassemble it and desolder all the wires.

Second thing I did was cut the fins on the heat sink down, just to give the ESC a more unique look. I thought about painting the heat sink but I like the black and brushed look.

Then it was time to fill all the holes in the case.

After that I decided I wanted to change the shape of the ESC a little.

More sanding time lies ahead.

Alright, sanded and primed. Next is to solder the wires and modify the lower case half.

Why are you hacking up the electronics?:?

Because wires and stuff hanging all over the place looks like crap. Why leave something alone, anyone can do that
