my dna dig i just got does not have the servo mount that looks like that either. mine is a long flat plate

that is exactly how i need to mount my servo with my build and the mount that came with it doesnt let the servo sit that close to the tranny and doesnt work right with the chassis im using.

anyone else got another mount they dont want

Yeah I know your just the guy who can answer my question about his chassis. With more clubs creating Pro Shaft classes the good old shafty might be making a strong come back and this rig very much looks the part. The lack of a Lexan body alone is a great start. Enjoy my friend.

Just curious....where is the defined windshield, and where is the hood? I went through this recently, and am curious how this can pass tech.

The windshield is at the front end of the chassis there is an inch difference from where the "hood" connects to the roof. The "hood" on chassis is very short, body panels are usually extended out on the moa versions for appearance. It meest the 8" long requirement on the bottom plates.

There is no rule on how long the hood has to be, just has to have one. It is legal. Odd looking, works great (I have competed against a few of the moa versions this season), and legal.

Gotcha. I am looking to design a couple more chassis next week, and am really interrested in exploring my limits.

If you look at this pic of Harley's ax10 moonbuggy, the body panels make everything more defined.

I have been very busy with family drama, Crawler Innovations and just life. Add in the Texas heat lately and nothing much goes on that does not include A/C. I did however get some work done on this and I am just finally getting around to updating the build thread.

Here we go:

Passenger side view

All important link geometry. I probably shouldn't post this picture. This has been the best way to mount links and shocks (at the axle) I have found regardless of what chassis you use.

Because of the hiked up skid and high clearance links I had to remove A LOT of material off the bottom of the DNA dig to get the clearance needed.

Rear link geometry.

Front link geometry.

Front tray with servo mounted and Crawler Innovations servo guard. I am going to mount receiver, CC BEC, and Mamba Max up front. I will mount the 3S lipo on the back links.
