Awesome build. It's been awhile since anyone has made their own transmission. I also love the big window frame. Normally, bodiless frames look a bit dwarfed by the big wheels, but yours looks good.

Hello, Quote:
Some update. I manufactured titanium rear link (lower in 6mm and 4mm for upper) to replace those in delrin. The delrin link , too thick, came to rub against the driveshaft. Titanium it is always a true nightmare to be worked | |

Hello, Some update. I received the last parts:
In first, I add 80g in front for a better distribution of the weight. I shortened weights VP (-7mm), to fix them on the Egressor weights. They weigh approximately 20g each one. These 80g moreover on the front axle, improves the behavior largely The final weight is of 2.340 kg - 5.15 lbrs RTR. With 160g - 5.6 oz from weight in front and 100g - 3.5 oz with the rear. The long servo arm, the steering functions much better, especially in maximum steering One does not see it too much on the photograph , but I installed UD gear et Egressor spool. And red Losi spring. |

| Re: Le Margouillat.
Hello, Some news and one questions The family photo, Le Margouillat with and W/o dig New skid, simplified and lighter I replaced the front and rear upper links in titanium, by those out of carbon. Still a few grams to gain After several tests and some failures, the process of joining is good. Joining is now more solid than the rod ends pics of the link test I also decided of exchange my driveshafts MIP, for a lighter plastic model :
By changing the 2 driveshafts, I gain 60g But problem, quickly the front driveshaft twists… Therefore, the question is, which driveshafts doesn't twist (Traxxas??) The final weight RTR : 2115g |

Traxxas stampede shafts (dike shaft) work great Use two female ends, CA clue to one side a male piece of shaft. I don't have the best pics but here you go. Your builds are great! Last edited by Hacksaw707; 03-04-2012 at 06:52 PM. |
