Thanks, it's turning out to be my favorite truck. Of course that is what I say about them all soon after finishing them.

I thought about removing them, but decided to leave them in place. The area is nice and flat. I don't have a lathe, so it would have been a butcher job if I removed them.

All the wiring is done and my 7955TG is installed. The servo wires were all shortened to length. All I can say is this thing is a beast. I am hoping to get out on the rocks in the next few weeks.

The Wolverine set sail on her maiden voyage today. Jslick met me at St Peters for some testing and practice. So far I am super impressed. The side hill is great and she seems to climb well the od/ud gearing is very noticeable. I still have some tweaking here and there, but I think I hit the nail square on the head wit this one!

I am loving your build. I have built a sporty with the AR60 axles, as well. For now, I am froze at 5 pounds as my RTR weight, but, I haven't used any materials more exotic than aluminum. Are you looking to add any weight to yours in the future? If so, keep us posted!

It seems to be working really well where it is. The pink Rovers are a bit heavier than the white, so maybe I will add some on when I switch back to white Rovers. I am at 4.01 lbs now. If I add any it will be in the 2 oz range.

I still can't totally loose of the old school way of internal wheel weights. I have no weight in the rear and 4oz in each of the fronts, so I could technically lose half a pound... Lighter wheels are in my future too. It appears that you glued the Wolverine inside of your body, is that holding up well?

Yeah, I used lexan picture glue. Check it put on YouTube. I highly recommend the DE Racing TRL22 front buggy wheels and Vanquish wheel hubs. It is cheap and they weigh the same as most CF wheels. I can pick up the wheels for $7 a pair at my LHS.

Plenty of low end torque and it is butter smooth starting off. When I pull the trigger all the way it is rocket ship. The MMP is an awesome ESC and works flawlessly. The hill hold is as good as my XR10! I wasn't sure about removing the fan and heat sink, but so far no issues. Once you get rid of all the extra stuff it is quite small.

awesome to hear, i might have to try that out.

EDIT: ahh, ok, I understand now, i didn't think mamba max was sensored, that's awesome... definitely gonna give this a shot.. you'll have to keep us updated as to performance and heat issues if any.

I decided to shave some more weight and make my body much smaller. This allowed me to move the body forward close to 2 inches. I like the new look, but I think it will need color before I completely warm up to it.

I like the body, but with the way it is trimmed, if it is close on the length, and you run into a rock and push the front in, it might be get to short and fall out of spec, at least at a big event.

Not sure I am following you. Do you mean it would permanently bend the nose and make it too short? If so, I am not too worried about it happening. The plastic is pretty thick at that spot. It might bend, but would bounce back. The body is just a hair over 12.5" though.
