One of my friends is running this servo... it runs great but it randomly quick steering one direction so I took it apart and checked the gears didn't find anything wrong but it works fine now.... I'd say it's a great servo and I will probably get one for myself as well soon...

A couple of updates to this. I recently blew out an esc so I am now running a br mini and also picked up a 40t nexus motor from Eddie O over at Brood. Still in the testing phase of it but it seems pretty punchy and I have some good bottom end resolution. Also scooped up some Ytown wheels for it recently. And also upgraded the servo to a hitec 9380 brushless.

What hookup did you use for the 9380? I was told my CC BEC wouldn't pass the return current back to the battery and had to use the PAD, which seems a waste.

Can you tell if the servo stays noticeably cooler with heavy use? That would be my main reason for the upgrade since I burn out a lot of servos.

I'm not using the pad on my servo and it works just fine without it. There are a few others I know of using this servo and also not using the pad.
I have noticed that the servo does seem to run cooler than a brushed servo though.
