Thats crazy on the 4* of camber! Are you going to keep it around for a bit? I think I am going to have to try an test it out and see how it goes.

When I get home I'll have the last of the parts to finish this rig up. I expect to get my rtr weight done to 3.5lbs range with a 13t 500 puller. I also have a full width rear axle just like wheel7. Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk |

| Re: Detours 5:14 the Arc'teryx My best guess is that ono the Dlux knuckles. 4* of the kingpin placement is in the arms, and 4* is in the main knuckle pieces. So if the main piece is upside down, perhaps you can get -4* when paired with wriath chubs, you get 8*. that said I have these knuckles and I never looked that closely at them to figure that out. I just know they can do 8* and non 8* |

I like the negative camber. I think some negative camber would helpful in the rear too. Way back when I had a Wheely King shafty I always wanted to mount the rear C and knuckle clocked 90* and use it to add negative camber to the rear axle. Some day...

So here is how you can get 4* of camber. Lets start by looking at the Dlux knuckle. The 2 sets of holes allow you to tilt the knuckle face. The outer set of holes will give me the normal 8* setup. The inner set of holes will give me 4* of camber by leaning the top in. This is all possible by the way the king pins are made. The bolt and ball are captured in this bearing. The bottom plate on the knuckle would be setup the typical way to run 8* Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk |

Ah.. So you just have it setup to run the 8* up top, and non 8* down low. Interesting. I would think it would cause a noticeable amount of binding as the the steering turns as the universal joint would be forced out of alignment the sharper angle it has to turn. I say this based off improper assembly of my own v2 where I had the top in 8* and bottom in non 8* but on an AX chub. The steering was super tight when straight, and would free up significantly when turned. I only noticed this when the servo horn was detached though. |

You have it upside down? I literally installed the bearings upside down on mine and for the life of me couldn't figure out how to use these without them falling off! I partied way to hard in school. Worst part is I hit send on the email to Erik as it occurred to me what I did. Ha! I laughed for a while!

I decided to run a full width rear axle. So I ordered a housing, some axles and a new truss from Dlux and being I don't like wheel nuts I decided to get rid of them. Too do this I first drilled the pin hole in the axle out with a 7/64 bit. I then stole the delrin hubs from my mini and drilled them out with a 3/8 bit to insert a 3/8 nylon spacer that I drilled with a 9/64 bit and used some CA to bond the two together. nylon inserts Mocked up I forgot to take pictures of this but I also cut most of the plastics thats holding the bearing in away and now the hub keeps it in place After all of this I cut the threads off, shoved the wheel pins in the hubs, bolted the wheels on and went for a test drive. Hey, that bug body looks terrible! I don't like VW's.......haha.....looks good. Very cool rear axle mod. AR60 in the rear is an option for me, what width did you get with this setup? We need to hook up at work so I can check this out. |
