Oh shiz! A Mean set of axles is always a great start to a thread.. With the wickedness you put into the last build, this should be good the whole way thru! |

Hey Chris I saw that you ordered Dlux's trusses. If I am correct those will not work with narrowed AR60's....as far as I know By the way it looks like a sweet build! I will be watching! Any plans to shave those axles?? Last edited by M_ENERGY; 11-09-2013 at 12:03 PM. |

Better check the upper link geo with the Dlx trusses as i'm pretty sure they are setup for a full width wraith axle. A narrowed set would offset the upper links to one side.

None of this will really make sense to me until I have my chassis setting in front of me and know what I ultimately have. Thanks for keeping an eye out tho TSK | |

He still has the option to run a full width front axle. He's got new full width uni's...so the only thing he'd need is a full width housing. Then a few parts from dlux and he'd have the same setup. It wouldn't be hard to match the width of the rear axle...

Just got the word the word my chassis should be ready in a couple of weeks. I'm rather excited about it as I'll be in the first run of them and hopefully will be the of the first builds on rcc to be showing it off!

For those of you who aren't familiar with the TurboTech sportsmen chassis I hijacked a few pics of it. Hope you don't mind Jim. |

Recived my axles from Ittybitty yesterday and will possibly be dropping the housings off with my machinist today for a shave job. Probably just going to go with the standard of .2 of an inch shave. I was thinking about pushing the envelope with them but changed my mind as it goes against the purpose of this build, which is to have no variables that aren't proven other than my dlux truss setup being altered for narrowed axles possibly, if this doesn't work out for me ill be going full width and Bully like the Dlux build By no variables I mean purchased chassis and all. Even tho I felt the 5:12 I built was a comp worthy rig with most of it being hand fabricated. Last edited by chris.martell; 11-13-2013 at 07:21 AM. |
