***EDIT*** OK, yes, it was the BEC voltage....I dropped it down to 7.4v and everything worked smooth as butter! Thanks Guys for your inputs, I love this site! 2 HITEC tech support personnel specifically recommend me to push the voltage up to 8v on that servo (initially) and that servo will handle more than 7.4v....during a 45 minute phone conversation. I lose .5v when I run the BEC through the receiver. So, initially, I set the BEC to 8.4v so I can get 7.9v out of the receiver into the servo. Well, when I decided to wire the servo direct, I forgot to drop the BEC voltage down....my bad. I'm going to test 8.0v to see how that works.....every little bit I can get.....! OK, so....I wanted the Kids to put their touch on my crawler so I let them paint the body. I gave them no direction and no limits. The Wife picked the colors, the two older girls painted the "design" and well....."HE" did the rest....... I had to salvage all the "prettiness", painted a speckle of lime green and backed everything in black. Yes, My Family painted this - I love it! Wouldn't change a thing!! |

Well, since SOMEONE isn't making wheels right now, I had to go with these! LOL - I'm kidding, I love these wheels Width from outside of tire to outside of tire - 11.25" I am going to look for green hardware for the wheels....for the "Cool Factor", or I'll just simply paint the screw heads and touch them up as needed. I lost 3 oz going with these wheels over the stock XR10 wheels. I just hope they are skinny enough to hold the tires on the foams better. I still need to add knuckle weight but I am VERY HAPPY! what do you think? |

Got orders away from Crawler Heaven. Never finished the shake down runs and it is time to sell her. I think I'm going to part it out because I know I'll never get the money I put into it, back out of it.......sigh

What a cool build man, it was fun to go through the thread and watch it take life. Too bad you gotta sell it.
