I'll take a quick stab and say CI 5.5in DD narrow. Soft front, medium rear. Comp cut.... maybe. Just a guess though. That is what I'm running, with rc3wd Bully 2.2 tires. Those look a tad bit taller though.

So we have an interesting discussion going on in Cboggs Suckerpunch build about steering and some changes and effects he made. I took some pictures of my front axle and the ackermen I found worked in the steering arms I made.

I didn't want to blow his thread up with my pictures so figured I would throw them in here.

I don't have exact numbers but you can see the ackermen ..... there is about 1* of toe out on my fronts too.

I think with non 8* you would see the angle the same but I don't have an angle finder to get real numbers.

But with the caster, one notch farther back then normal xr C's, and the 8* you can see the inside tire always grabs the farthest and the outside tends to run flatter but still look to be biting more towards the inside of the turn.

For me on sporty 8* is best, it feels to give me sharper steering even on throttle stomps.

And did a little drawing of my ackermen .....

Interesting read here and the other thread, thanks. I feel like my rig has certain traits, trying to process all this to figure out the how and why it does what it does.

What makes an 8* setup, just the C hubs or c hubs and knuckles?

Rob, are the steering arms on your rig the same as what you had available?

When you figure it out ..... please tell us too

Yup 8* refers to King Pin Inclination ..... Wraiths and XR's come stock with them, Chubs and Knuckles.

I never put the arms in the store, posted about them once before to see if there was interest. I have some still available if they interest you.

Thanks. I have the arms, just wasn't sure if you came up with something different or not.

I do think they made a difference over the arms I was running, less push. Throttle stomps still seems to push forward instead of turning, but that's probably in the rest of my setup.

Put some of our steering arms in the web store if anyones interested. Small batch for now but if theres enough interest in them we can do another run.

Thank you to all our customers and supporters - you all really are what makes this sport so much fun.

Can I ask why some of you guys run the drag link a longer distance to the opposite side instead of the shorter (lighter weight) distance to the closer side?

For me its leverage and caming out issues.

Longer I found I can get more throw from the servo before I reach the point the arm wants to cam over and I lose leverage or rotation.

How long is that server horn? I'm using your carbon arms now, but I need a longer server horn for sure.

Thanks!

Working in IT for so long has made my ability to spell servo impossible.

So I havent updated this in a while and the season is just brewing so lets look at where I left it. I had a customer who needed links a while back and asked me to make them. Well I couldnt come through for him in the time frame I promised so I did the next best thing I felt. I gave him the links I was running ..... then got smart and worked with Dlux to start selling them for our customers.

So this was where I had her sitting for the winter.

And after some 7075 lower link bending and Ti upper link threading I had a runner again.

Taking sone notes from RCBros build thread and thinking I got my lucky hands on an oldy but goodie Underground Crawlers mount.

I also shed a little weight in different spots but this was the most at the moment.

All together I shed a bit bringing me closer to my goal of high 1500grams .... this will help with my tuning style of only having to add weight where necessary and not use a bunch to make the truck work.

Still to go is another rear axle idea, SDI shafts front and rear and a different trans. So far Ive run the truck twice and am very excited for the weather to break and get some real tuning in.

wonder which one of you guys will have a chassis in stock first... in need of one badly!! LOL
Unstuck 2.2s or the spider are my top choices.
wanting to get back into comp scene.

Its from Dravtech, I won it last year at the NENC Comp in PA. Love the look of his cf and its 3mm.

You cant go wrong with either one I think, actually all the sporty chassis's out are great performers.

We've got a big batch going into inventory this weekend for both the Losi and the Ax versions.

I thought I read the other day Dravetech is done. Said he was moving on to other things.
Sad to see it
He has some cool stuff, I love his smash plate.
