Yeah, it will be really nice if we can keep the kit under $50. That will be a hard price to beat for the look you will be able to achieve IMO. Hopefully eveyone's builds will start to pop up in the next few days. Keep an eye out and keep the comments rolling. GO TEAM TCS :-P |

Wow, this chassis looks even better having it in hand. I can see now why you guys will be making it out of aluminum. I think to get a bit more stiffness along the length, I'll just use several crossmembers, probably more than what's actually needed, but I think it will give a more accurate test having the assembled chassis as stiff as possible. Who knows....maybe it'll work better with some chassis flex like the way they designed the Mog's ladder frame I'll get started on it's build as soon as I get a couple of other parts on the way. BTW...mine will be a good test to see how well the chassis works with other axles sets...mine won't have Axials under it, but will test with both WK's and TLT's |

Well I mocked up the new shocks tonight. The 80mm length shocks give me a GREAT scale look. I think they are perfect as is. Thanks Run2Jeepn. If I decide to do a drop bed in the future I will change to 60mm in the rear. I would add a cross member and tip the shocks towards the center. I will post pictures soon, but I still can't find my MF'n memory card! I also put in a couple more cross braces at the shock mounts, turns out the stock TLT pieces work perfectly:-P Again, pictures soon (even if I have to use the wifes camera). |
