I am running the stock pinion for now. Just on 2s though. I havent had a chance to drive it but im also running a Hobbywing 1080 so I can tune down the throttle if i need to. I believe Dezracer99 is dropping to a 12t pinion

Yeah, I bought a 12T but am waiting until I get the new driveshafts, since it's a chore to get to. Holmes Torquemaster Expert 35T and 3S 3k and 4500 packs. I will be installing the Hobbywing 1080 also soon. It has good crawling capability with the 14 but I'm new haha

So I got to take the goat out for the first time today for about an hour. I’m pretty impressed! I think this is the best performing rig I’ve owned so far. Everything is just super smooth and glad I spent some money in the right places. Can’t wait to take it somewhere that will really test it.

The align ds450 worked awesome for the dig. I’m running everything set to 7.4v so I’m sure that helps. But I was able to have the rear wheels locked under a load and unlock it without any issues so far.

Well I’ve been able to take this thing out a few times now. It’s a fun rig! Definitely understand while they call it the Goat.

This thing goes up over around and across lines I attempt just because why not?
I decided to change things up a little, I had a stampede F100 body laying around. I cut and spliced to make it fit, and have some magnetic body mounts on the way.
Took it out today and I’m happy to report no excessive body rub and I dig the look of it. Just something different

Default Fricker08’s Capra build.

Got to take the Capra out again today, these pics were taken shortly after the thing was submerged in a 3-4 foot deep pool of water.

Everything still works, but the motor started smelling burnt after a few minutes of driving so I shut her down.. unfortunately only got to drive for 20 minutes or so. But the 50wt shock oil and red springs made a world of difference.

I’m not sure the Holmes hobbies motors are waterproof or resistant. I reached out to see if they think I did permanent damage and will report back.

I’m not going to mess with it, instead I’m going to send it back in to Holmes Hobbies and have them rebuild it. As long as nothing major is wrong, they will rebuild them for about $20. I ordered a trailmaster 35t because they’re supposedly a little more forgiving. But it will be nice to have this one as a backup

Got to take the Goat out today for the first time since swamping it.
Went to the local favorite spot Elk rock island, ran for an hour solid or so. The trailmaster motor definitely doesn’t have the pep of the torquemaster but that’s ok. This rig blows my mind every time I’ve driven it. I’m happy with the 50wt shock oil and stock red springs.
Enough talking, enjoy some pics
