Twissted, I'd really appreciate if you didn't clog up my thread with your build. Despite how helpful you think it might be, it isn't. There's a place for your stuff, and trust me, it's not in my build thread. BGR is not accepting any orders for custom work at this time, according to his Instagram account. If a Mod felt like cleaning this thread up a bit, I wouldn't mind a bit. |

[QUOTE=imthatguy;5433451]It's very refreshing to do away with the Yeti trans and transfer case setup and go with something compact, and proven to be a winner. Not that I've had any bad luck with the Yeti setup, it's just a lot of extra moving parts. Simplify man! Nice build man! I put a SCX transmission in my Yeti last year for this same reason. So far I've really liked it. It definitely simplifies things and lowers the center of gravity quite a bit. |

I really don't recommend uranium as it is radioactive. Just try not to touch it too much. Before long it will become lead, so then you're cool. Just handle with gloves. ;) Great looking truck. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Last edited by DowntownScience; 03-12-2016 at 05:09 PM. |

I love seeing your work. I see that you got a set of the Axial universals; did you ever try running those in the front AR60 axles before swapping to the Currie/VVD's? How were they? I am wanting a set of VVD's for my RR10 but waiting for inventory to show up at Vanquish has me looking for a stop-gap solution.

That aluminum cage... so sexy! Fantastic build thread, excellent job in keeping the thread on track. I ordered one as well so here in about a month, I'll post up my build. |

I had some time together to start mocking up all the bits. Not shown here is the amount of time I spent deciding on where to put the ESC. Got to mounting the TZi Winch, a Vanquish light bar and the Super Shafty trans. Tons of room for a real interior, which chuffs me greatly. Getting the existing Bomber skid to fit was easy. Still need to bend up some alternate down bars for the sway bar to work with the Currie offset axle, but not too worried about that. I'm also planning on swapping out the Axial trailing arms for a set of machined Twin Hammers ones. 15 1/4" wheelbase is entirely too long for me. | ||

This rig looks great! I hope you have it with you next weekend in Ohio. Powder coating was def the better option. Did you happen to weigh it before and after the powder coating?

Nice choice of parts. Came out looking like it will stand the test of use and abuse.

So how much more does it weight than a stock Axial Bomber?
