Looks amazing...were you able to run all your knuckle weights up front or did you have to take some off to fit the wheel? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I used .600 SLW hubs on these wheels and therefore didn't have to change the knuckle weights at all.

They are probably the equivalent of .350 hubs....personally, I'm using .600 hubs.

I'm using the hubs that they came with. I wanted to stay as narrow as possible while clearing the knuckles and they fit the bill so I didnt change them.

I have a question about the construction on these wheels. Are the delrin blue rings on the face of the wheel just for decoration, or do they secure the bead? From the side shot drawing it appears that the rings are just decoration and that the wheels assemble similar to the Axial beadlocks with 6 screws behind the spokes of the rim. Are the surfaces touching the beads aluminum or delrin? I am very interested in a set for my Yeti with some Voodoo U4 tires or my Bomber with a set of Rock Beast II tires. |

The blue ring is for looks...back ring pulls it together ...just use loctite and watch those scale bolts on the blue rings... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks for the info. I found two pairs in stock at RCaddict and ordered them. They had the beef tubes I needed in stock too. Hopefully their online inventory is accurate.

The blue ring is a beadlock ring although it is not necessary to remove it for tire installation. I removed them when I switched the scale hardware to stainless.

What size driver do I need for the scale hardware? What is the thread pitch to switch them out to something else? I will likely just back them out and use some purple (very low strength) lock tite to resecure them and leave them in place. ETA I found the answer to my question on the SSD site. Thanks. My set of wheels arrived today from RC Addict. They look great and seem very well made. This is my first set of aftermarket wheels, so my assessment might be less informed than others. I need to get some CI foams ordered to mount my Voodoo U4 tires on them, then they will go on my Yeti.

I'm learning what hobby sites are out there. Google isn't solid when searching "shopping" for these. And not all of SSD's list of American vendors carry them either. -Is pricing fixed for all vendors / where is the best place to purchase? -Who has them in stock? -Anyone want to split an extra set for a spare? |
