Do any of you guys have an issue with the front steering link hitting the front axle housing? I mustve hit the link and it twisted it down on the rod ends. I bent it back straight once, but then after the next time out it came back in bent down again. Any input guys or is this just like nature of the beast?

I was installing some beef tubes, and noticed this, it's only had 3 light runs...

I've messaged Vanquish, lets see what they say

Is that the steering link?

Or one of the others?

I eventually need to get a new set of upper links and front lower links for one of my Bomber builds.

I have JEC SS heavy duty links for one build, but the other just has SSD titanium steering and SSD rear aluminum trailing arms, Axial kit gold aluminum for the rest - which I doubt will last for long.

I have trashed every single one of these links. They're either bent, or snapped off. I now have all titanium 3/16th links, and RPM rod ends which have not had an issue yet.

Yes, I'm extremely hard on this thing, but they all bent from the result of a rollover or cartwheels. I never ran straight into something.

If only we were on the same continent - I actually have 2 sets of the Wraith/Bomber SSD titanium steering links (V1 & V2, which were using M3 hardware - now they have a V3 that uses M4 hardware and is compatible with Traxxas rod-ends) - if it didn't cost so much to do so, I'd gladly send you one...

Shit!

Merde!

Scheisse!

It's a shame to go to titanium since the stainless links add some nice weight down low...

Well, if you really want HD SS links, JEC Racing is the way to go... I have a full set of those for the heavyweight Bomber build:

Vanquish are hopefully sending me a new link by the wording of the email they sent me, so that's good. Maybe one day I'll replace the front steering links with Titanium ones due to them being the ones that get the most abuse.

My gawd they're pretty! I do not like the holes in the links though. Potential weak spots.
