Default FBA axle shafts - AR60 length – Dlux

Dealers and group buys please PM me for a great deal on these (minimum of 5 sets).

I present the FBA line of shafts in the AR60 length! This will cover all the AR60 axles such as the Bomber and the Wraith.

I have been waiting for this moment for sooooo long! I couldn’t be any more stoked!

You guys have deserved this part for a long time. I, along with many others have known this but again, I with many others have also known what a pain it would be to have them done. This couldn’t have been any more true. I am glad its finally over!

Made from heat treated 4340 which is some of the best grade steel around. I then zinc coated them to protect them from the elements.

I have had 7 sets out for testing. Nobody has been able to break a shaft yet! They all have a pile of parts sitting next to their cars that they have broken while testing these shafts so, rest assured, these have been tested HARD! All of my testers have had plaguing problems with shafts in their cars and have not been able to find a strong solution (just like all the rest of you). Well, your problems are now solved! Put these in (along with steering stops), plug your battery in and pull the trigger with confidence.

The 4340 shafts will come with either the stock Axial stub (Wraith/XR style) or the 8mm stub version. You will need knuckles to match the stub shaft. If youre running the Axial version, either a XR, Wraith or stock knuckle is needed. If youre running the 8mm stub version, you will need knuckles that accommodate 8mm stub shafts, such as the Dlux knuckles.

These universal shafts are capable of approx. 70* of steering. YOU MUST RUN STEERING STOPS!!!!!

These shafts are virtually identical to the Axial shafts except I added material everywhere I could get away with. The inner shafts are no longer sloppy like the stock ones for this reason.

There is a limited supply on hand but I should have more in the next couple of weeks to a month if you don’t get in on this batch.

Please be patient with me while I get orders out. I am VERY busy at the moment.

Here is a small video of the testing that Winnerone23 did for me. Please dont drive like this guy. LOL https://youtu.be/AHiL6OzMTkk

Hi Erik, do you plan on making some normal AR60 length rear axle shafts?

As the Axial ones don't seem to be very strong and tend to bend quite easily.

Maybe in the future. I need to see how these go first.

Erik - I don't see any steering stops on the factory knuckles. Is this something you get with aftermarket knuckles? Sorry for new question.

No, its a great question. One that I am sure will be overlooked and causing me many issues. LOL.

You absolutely must have mechanical (meaning non servo EPA) steering stops with these. If you do not, they will allow for so much steering that you can easily bind them up to the 90* point and snap them in half. I would guess that a large majority of shaft failures today are from the lack of mechanical steering stops. This goes for every axle shaft type out there.

The stock knuckles wont have any. You will have to figure something out. If you have the Dlux knuckles, they have threaded holes for this very reason. Vanquish scale knuckles also limit steering angles so they would also work great.

Check this thread out. I will be changing the title so it covers all types of shafts I will be selling.

Bomb. Fawking. Proof.

My overdrive gears have almost become a slipper clutch between my 4s powered 35 turn brood axle buster and these shafts. No breakage and I run just under 70* of steering. There is no going wrong with these shafts.

Glad they are holding well for you too! I dont think we can really say 0 issues. Well, I guess with the front shafts. Now we just need to get you a set so you can stop blowing the rear shafts!

Thanks to both of you for being such good testers and getting some serious time on these!

I love seeing all the 4s getting thrown at these!

But why such small motors!? Lol..

I've been doing some more thrashing.. all while trying Not to drive like the guy in the video! (I'm using 2 hands..)

HH Puller Pro, 3500kv 540XL.. on 4s.. Give em some Powah!

Trailing, crawling, racing, bashing, jumping!!!!

I've been giving the FBA shafts a full fledged Azz Whoppin!!! In every direction I could think off..

Then at ECC, there was a 8-9' pile of mulch.. uhh oh...
The only thing that suffered, was the Sexo!
MIP... first bell, I've seen blow up!

FBA shafts rocked it!!!

The Sexo rocked the ground! Lmao..

Nice job on the breakage!

I've been running vvd's in my beater rig with a 550 4250kv 4 pole sensored setup on 3s. Looks like I'm going to need another set of FBA shafts.

I've been beating on my FBA shafts in the crawler. Not a touch of trouble yet.

Wow! Holding up to more abuse than an MIP!? Great job Troy!

We are looking at close to 2 months of testing and no body has been able to break a FBA shaft yet! How cool is that?

When my toy budget allows for it my bouncer will take a go at your shafts. 2400 watts of pissed the fawk off 1/8 scale motor may have a chance of it spinning xl swampers.
