I had a little convo with MtHead. He's whipping up something special for me, It's going to be sweet

Well the cab is blue again, its better then it was before, still not 100% but if I mess with it any more I'm going to F' it up so I'm going to settle for well enough. I figure I'm going to wheel the piss out of it, so I'm not to worried about it, its going to get scratched and dinged anyway

time for some updates

I made some seriously good steak on the BBQ, first of the year. Snarfed that up, then got to work. I went on to installing LED's in the cab, adding details like the mirror, looks like the passangers side's mirror's broke. Did all the decal stickers, painted up the grill, added wipers.

I also whipped up a small box to fill in the fuel cell in the bed, I used some of this EXTREME velcro to hold it in, this stuff is stupid sticky. I'm using the Fuel cell to hold the RX and LED controller and with the velcro I can easily remove it to tweek or add stuff I added a BEC and have that wired up and inside the stock radio box up front

on to the multitude of pics

That puts me up to 15 LED's I have plans for at least 4 more

TRied to install the new fuel cell/radio box, turns out I made it about 1/4 too short and I can't nicely tuck the extra wifes in, so I'll have to redo it Oh well

Still to do

Remake fuel cell
route wiring
Install Custom rear window
Install rear shock towers and shocks
Paint everything on the leaf spring kit Black
Wheel the piss out of it

Got the Fuel cell remade, and the wiring buttoned up, sorta need to find a short servo extension for the winch, got all the LED wires and Servo wires routed along the chassis and into the new fuel cell

I ran the RX wire out the side of the Molded section of the fuel cell and using the antenna tube holder I made a CB whip on the on the bed. I got the body mounted back up and the Mandatory flex shot

pics

Installed rear shock hoops, cut off the body mount hoops and sanded them down, reinstalled the stock shocks sans springs, I left the stock limiters on there for now, I might trim them up for just a tad more flex, time will tell. Took it to work to show it off to some of the guys, drove it around for the first time, just across the shop floor but its really stable and predictable. More to come.....

Hey thanks, I appreciate it. I'd really digging the rear leaf setup, it looks cool, functions well and is a real standout point when people look at it. the few people who have seen it in person all say "it has real leaf springs? do they really work?" it's kinda fun to let people look allover one of these scale rigs and see them find things you put into them.

Did a little shake down run today out on the rocks behind the MSD shop. Nothing too wild, but the initial results look promising, the truck is super stable, very predictable, and the 3s 45t combo lets me creep and haul ass when needed

couple cell phone pics.

Aaron - you've once again inspired me - very nice rig - all of it - that body really sets it off - if I don't see you before, I'll see you at the Nat's - hopefully with my version of the Honcho.

Carnage!!!!!

Not really It did very well, it is really well balanced, I was pulling some serious lines that I really didn't think it would do.

Unfortuantly I was too busy playing to take pics of it on the rocks, there were people taking pictures so maybe they will surface and I'll post them (matt!)

I did get a bit of damage though, see, there was this wreckluse that took a 4-5' drop right on top of my truck, blew out the back of the cab at the reign cab back, and one of the joints of the splice, Knocked out one of the side windows too. I learned I really need a traction Bar in the rear the axle wrap is wicked. I also broke the winch hook

Pics after fact
