I'm planning on going with the Axial bumpers from the Dingo if I can't find some good handmade ones, for I have no welding skills either. As far as the swing arm for the rear goes, I found one that RPP Hobby make that I think you can mount on just about any bumper. Here's the link: http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rppobsc1.htm

Ya I would definatley say this is inspiring to see. I race slash 4x4 and I recieved my new RCCA magazine. I showed the wife and I bought a new SCX10. My dad has been tryint to talk me into crawlers for a while now and after seeing this and the scale I got to do it. My SCX10 is not here yet, but I love your Jeep 1:1 and your scx10 Jeep. They both look great!
Great Work!

WOW guys! I am floored, and extremely appreciative of the kind words you have all expressed about this project. It was one of the hardest projects I have done to date, the small scale items are very hard to build! Your comments have brought a huge smile to my face! THANK YOU ALL!!!

Here are some more shots for you after I painted the components and wired the vehicle for lights.......

My Dad was super happy with the parts I made for him. I delivered the completed vehicle to a show he was at and made him stand there for a picture

I trimmed the face off of Axial "PIAA" light covers, and glued the round portion of the light covers to the body using canopy glue. Once they dried, I snapped the large round axial buckets into the cover. Once you put the lenses in, they look pretty real! They are the perfect size if you ask me. It was the most simple way I could come up with to do it. Truth be told, one fell out. I had to sand the surface lightly, not through the paint!!! to get the glue to stick. They have been solid since then.

Nice job man, can we get a few pics of the finished rig?

Really like the bumper work for sure man. Good quality work...would have never guessed it was your first build.

All of the best photos are in the December issue of RC Car Action. I have a few here for you guys.....

As far as this being my first build, not exactly. It is my first 1:10 crawler build, but I have done some larger scale projects like this.....

Cleanest work I've ever seen. I thought I was good at this stuff, thanks for humbling me. The TIG is just amazing, perfect stack of dimes.
