It's beefy and doesn't need to be this crazy but you'll get the idea.
hmmm... seems like a lot of fandanglin around. i'll have to come up with something. could i buy the bell crank itself and somehow rig it into the frame? just seems like a lot of work. the only cutting tool i own is a dremel. ALL of my fabrications are done with a dremel in my apartment. hahaha... same with brazing :(

Ya, that's what I was getting at. You could fab up a way to mount the bellcrank to the frame or make up something similar on your own. Well, it sounds like I've got a leg up in the manufacturing business....I've got a dewalt drill to add to your dremel and brazing equipment. Hahahaha!

Default 99% done!

Alright. Built rear wheel wells and bed out of 1/8" black plastic.

Began to mock up the cage...

_DSC0071vibsat by saltinemadness, on Flickr

Sorry I don't have pictures of me actually brazing it, but it's DONE. Sanded, primed and Enameled.

_DSC0075vibsat by saltinemadness, on Flickr

Took some pictures with the cage installed...

Did I mention that I stretched the wheelbase as promised? It's around Cherokee wheelbase length now... Which I believe is the stock length. I also primed and painted the trusses, and painted the stock hubs. I wasn't feeling how tall it still sat, so I put the 110mm RC4WD scale shocks back on, only I flipped the springs in them. So now this thing is running a 100% droop suspension setup. I've never driven it like this, so we'll see what happens. AFTER I FINISH THE DANG STEERING ISSUE...

MORE POSER PICS until i get an ESC (HH BRXL) and figure the steering out.

Also forgot to mention that i sprayed the bed and wells with actual bedliner. So you can't see the ugly/shiny glue joints.

looks nuts, you should flip the trany so your spur gear is under the dash.

i've thought about it... but i gotta put my servo back there due to steering issues... plus i'm not sure if flipping it will make it all the way behind the dash...

Agreed. For me, this is the sweetest build in the entire SCX10 photos section. I've even stolen your pics for my desktop! I'll apologize now for completely plagiarizing your rig in the future.

That's perfectly fine with me! It currently has wraith axles under it now. I'll post pics tomorrow when I get outside. I haven't decided if they're too wide or not. Also, I slipped in a 35t motor on 3s lipo... the thing is nuts!

-------------UPDATE-------------
P I C T U R E H E A V Y
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SO after waiting forever for classes to stop, I FINALLY have a chance to tinker with my stuff.

And my TJ now has Wraith axles!!! It was running on a 35t motor with 3s on the axial AE-1 ESC but the steering was glitching due to the 5v BEC. So, because of my stupidity, it took me about 2 days to figure out what the dang problem was before I finally threw in the only other ESC i had—the traxxas xl-5. Along with the xl-5 I had (from a slash), I also had the 12t TITAN motor. So I figured, what the heck, I'll throw that in there too and see what happens.

Now the thing does donuts, backflips, wheelies... but doesn't crawl so well...

"RECTUM!? DAMN NEAR KILLED EM!"

Made a fuel cell from scratch...

_DSC0114 by saltinemadness, on Flickr

Remember that pesky 3 link & panhard setup I had earlier? Well now it's on my OTHER newbright TJ and it works perfectly because I wasn't an idiot this time and decided NOT to cut the front end of the chassis down.

_DSC0128 by saltinemadness, on Flickr

She's gonna be purty when I'm done. Going for a more scale look with fenders and what have you.

Brazed cage, bumbers, etc... Gonna be a red-orange color... lots of lights.

Also, I'm working on my brother's blackfoot bodied, dove-nosed truggy. Still have yet to braze the cage and bumper up... bumper is going to be the same as my wraith TJ bumper and I need to upload a scan of my cage drawings to see what he thinks. But here's where it sits as of now.

_DSC0121 by saltinemadness, on Flickr

Sorry for the crappy pics. I'm gonna try to have video of my scx-10/wraith/TJ on here either later today or tomorrow. I just keep popping driveshafts, so I'm going to temporarily reinforce them with all thread until i do the revo or e/t maxx mod.

Thoughts?
