Sweet Jeep! I really like the cage work. Your build is what inspired me to dovetail the rear of my JK... Even though mine is Lexan.

Yeah your driver could be in a life altering position for sure.

This is mostly for my brother, but here's a scan of what I plan to do for the rear of the truggy. I was gonna do the top half like the back of my jeep and then run two lower tubes that are the same width as the chassis, which will be cut short to the end of the back of the truck. It will basically be an elongated version of the back of my jeep cage.

Wraith axles are more than worth it. Easier to work on... rig is more stable... not exactly scale, unless you're building a southern style crawler or something.

Thank you ghost!

MORE UPDATES

Got sick of bending shafts, so I did the MAXX shaft mod. That "maxx shafts made easy" thread needs to be stickied... everyone needs to have these!

Then started work on my brother's Ford F150.

I angled the grill in towards the bottom and sanded the top line low to give in a meaner, more aggressive look.

It isn't perfect by any means, but my brother is gonna put it to GOOD use scratching the shiz out of it. Probably going to put a floor pan in it. Maybe some plexiglass for a windshield too. Did I say this already?

oops, sorry CMaD, this was posted on my birthday. I would have been partying. Also, college picked back up again, so I haven't been able to frequent this awesome forum as much as I used to. Updates will come soon.

So I got 2 sets of 2.2 tires and rims for a steal on CL ($40 for all) and i decided to lace em up to my tj just for shiz and giggles. they look better from the side, and seem to be more scale with the wraith axles...but i might have to stretch the front links by maybe a quarter inch?

do you guys think i should run them or not?

I also got into the loop and grabbed some vanquish incision knuckles with the zero ackerman arms and axial universals to give me about 45-50 degrees of throw. Freakin awesome.

What do you guys think? 2.2 or go back to the 1.9 boggers?

I just need some harsh criticism! Torn between the 2.2s or the 1.9s !!!
