So I was thinking of a bumper with a swing out tire carrier... Came up with this... The latch was a total pain in the butt! Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:42 PM. |

| Re: Prodigal JK---1st Build Thanks bud. The bumper is 1/2"x1/2" square tubing. The spare tire mount is 3/16" solid bar. Not sure on time but it seemed like the stupid pin took as long as the rest Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:41 PM. |

My take on scale tow shackles And I still dig your tire/rim combination. Do those tire perform well? Or are they just scale.

The tires seem to perform pretty well and look very scale. Only complaint that I have so far is they are a little bit on the small size. Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:41 PM.

I spent some time staring at this thing trying to decide how and where to move the electronics around (tougher than I thought it was going to be). I want to build an interior so I want as much room as possible in the center. I flipped the tranny/motor anround to get the spur gear under the dash instead of between the seats. I ended up making an aluminum plate to put the battery up front and mount the ESC to as well. I also added an Axial electronics box in the back (two of them back there). One for the Rx and the other is dropped down beneath the frame rails to look like a gas tank and is home to the light unit. Also made a prelimenary styrene floor pan. ...On to the crummy phone pics...still need to secure the wiring Drivers side Passenger side Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:40 PM. |

I got the lights tested and hooked up. I still need to get the wires secured to the body though...ShooGoo I'm guessing? Also went back to the Axial wheels, I keep going back and forth between them and the Steelies. Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:39 PM. |

| Re: Prodigal JK---Action Pics Added Yeah its a sweet spot for sure...a little spooky at times though. When I was up on the top of the ridge its about a 4oo' drop straight down. My rig glitched once and I thought it was a goner! Thanks man, its getting there. Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:38 PM. |

OK...so I decided to make some different sliders. The aluminum sliders looked good but they just werent sliding the way I had hoped (due to openings that I cut in the bottom). Also I wanted them to look a little bit more substantial Came up with these... Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:37 PM. |

I forgot...made some inner fender wells w/ cd cases (a different slider on each side, I'm liking the round steel ones!) Last edited by Mr.Joshua; 03-15-2012 at 05:37 PM. |
