Default Prodigal JK Project, p.6 action shots

Progress to date

This is my 1st "official" build...working on it whenever I get a chance.

My brother (Ramset) let me drive his SCX 10 and I was instantly infected with the bug! So...I bought my first scale R/C used (last R/C I bought was a brand new Tamiya LunchBox...a LONG time ago). I was wanting a kit so I could get familiar with the truck but I got a great deal on a pre-owned rig on Craigslist and figured I would learn how it went together by taking it apart.
The rig that I bought came with several bodies but I wasn't loving any of them. I had tapped out my "toy budget" so I had to wait on the Jeep body. Finally my girls got me one for my B-Day. As I'm sure many of you can relate...that night I stayed up until 2am getting it prepped for paint!

Nothing revolutionary...just a "run whatcha brung" build.
SCX 10 kit certified pre-owned)
Pro-line JK body (finally!)
Novak Rooster Crawler
Integy 55 turn motor (for now)
Traxxas TQ3
Traxxas 2075 servo (for now)
Hand Bros CMS kit
Aluminum knuckles
Aluminum c-hubs
Aluminum rear lock outs
Drive shaft retainer rings
Tamiya light kit
RC4WD 1.9 Steelies or Stock Axial 1.9 wheels
RC4WD 1.9 Tomahawk tires (for now)
Stock Axial bumpers (for now)
R2J rear four link truss (eventually)

Plans:
Upgrade servo
Change motor to 35 turn
Relocate the electronics
New tires/wheels
Build a custom bumpers and rock sliders
Build a custom roll cage
Build a full interior/dash

1st some pics of the different bodies that I was trying out...

made a topper, changed the wheels

and last...affectionately known as "Yella Betty"

Trimmed and mounted

Masked, prepped and cleaned

I don't know if it is because I stared at Prolines show body for so long or what...but I'm going w/ Pactra Indy Silver

No worries man...I was hoping you would post up a pic. The Vette crawler is running great, she's driving up and over me all of the time.

Are those MTHead rings?...those are on my list also.

The 2 door jeeps are out in full force. Lol I gave my 2 door jeep the flat fendered look. IMHO it looks better but they both look good fendered or not!

Thanks man- yeah, cut the little ears off before they ripped off the entire bumper. Just buying some time while I make some real bumpers
