Default Troubleshoot.

A friends scx has a problem. He is running 2500mah 3s. Transmitter turns on, truck turns on but ESC doesn't chime or make any sound. Steering works, motor doesn't. All connections checked.

Any ideas?

Your battery died

In all seriousness I could only think maybe a trottle trim, etc got bumped? I know some esc's won't start up if it doesn't see the signal in the correct range that was programmed When doing the esc setup. Kind of a protection so it doesn't take off on you when you turn it on. What type of electronics are they?

Did you try switching the channels around to see if you can still get steering by using the throttle?

Check the connections at the motor. The ESC needs a motor hooked up to actually hear a "chime", so if the connections are iffy, you won't hear anything.

Thanks guys. Motor wires are snug. Not sure about the throttle channel, I'm no longer with the dude. I don't think he's fixed it yet though.

Thanks everyone. The connection to the motor was sliced, couldnt see it until I pulled on them. It's running fine now.
