Default Battery mounting permanent ok?

I have a jeep on a scx10 frame and its screwed in place 8 screws. Battery is unassesable without body off do you guys think I would be ok to run it like that and charge it with out removing. I've never had one explode or start on fire, but have heard of it.

Is it lipo?
Sometimes, you will need to remove the battery asap... I would not mount it permanently.
And, coming from someone that had a lipo explode, you should always charge/store your lipo's in a firesafe bag/box.

I would assume by the fire reference you intend to run LiPo's?

Call me paranoid, but I ALWAY's remove the (LiPo) batteries from my rig for charging AND storage... better safe than melted IMO

I'm in total agreement with the above posts. Do not leave a battery plugged in to the ESC, and remove it to charge/discharge in a fire safe bag. We aren't just talking about your rig burning down, but your house or car.

But if for some reason you decide to secure it to the frame and it does explode can you post a video? As long as everyone is safe that's a must see imo.....

I would not do it, not just because of a lipo failure...but what do you do if you want to crawl/scale your truck for more than....x+ amount of hours? Pick it up and walk with it...? That sucks imo.
