I got my bumper painted up, as well as my pull pal today. Turned out good. I just hope the paint is a nice hard finish and doesn't chip off easy. What do you guys think?

Pretty excited, I just ordered the CMS by RC4WD from RPP Hobby! I can't wait to get it installed!

I also brazed up a new rear bumper with shackle mounts just waiting on some sunshine to paint it up. I'll post pics when it's all dry and mounted up. Here is a teaser:

I got the rear bumper all painted up and it turned out good, as did the shackles.

While I was waiting for it to dry I got an itch to make a snorkle.
I used some black plastic drip tube irrigation line, an axial light bucket, a large axial rock shield (trimmed to fit and glued) for the screen on the snorkle mouth, a little bit of all-thread and some CA to thread the bucket to and sleeve into the hose. I had to use a little heat to mold the end of the hose to make it look like it turns into the fender. Then some SS wire to hold it to the body.

Do it up! I got the light bucket part from another rcc member. But he used parts tree plastic for the pipe.. I couldn't find a peice that would look right. And I happened to have some drip line so I snagged about 4" and went at it.

Make sure you post pics, I wanna see how yours turns out.

To my knowledge and looking around it is a proline 72 chevy c10 body. It came with it when I bought it. I didn't like it that much at first but it's growing on me the more I add to it, like the drop bed and the snorkle and lighting and such.

Thanks! I don't have any crazy tools or anything, I usually just use a dremel and my brazing torch kit and other basic hand tools, and stuff around the house. give it a try.

Talking Re: Matts scx10 action!

I got my RC4WD CMS & Panhard kit yesterday from RPP Hobby and installed it! The kit is nice and easily built. It had everything I needed for install. I used the install instructions from the RC4WD website https://store.rc4wd.com/mobile/product.asp?itemid=3391

Anyways, very happy with it so far. I highly recomend it. So onto some pics

Before:

The goods:

Installed:

And the casualties of the awesomeness of the CMS kit: (a bunch of plastic screws left the scx10 also )

I asked because I have the same body, yet your bumper is mounted against the chassis and fits perfect. My bumper is about 2" away from the end of the chassis in order to fit the body in the correct spot.

That may have somthing to do with your guys link setups man, his rears may be shorter while his fronts are longer and yours could be opposite. I don't think there should be a 2in difference tho but you never know. I also noticed that his shock towers are mounted in the dingo holes while yours are in the honcho holes but I don't think that has anything to do with it. But like I said, you never know

I did move my rear shock hoops in to the dingo holes and have slightly shorter rear links that I made. They way the PO had the holes drilled in the body he had it way forward and the rear tires hung out the back so I tucked them in and that's why my WB is a bit shorter and the bumper is snug to the frame rails.
He also hogged out the wheel wells and that makes a huge difference as to where the body can ride. You can make a visual reference with the rock sliders to the body lines.

Yeah my WB is about 12.0" if I remember right. Kinda in between a honcho and dingo. I like it.

Today I made a whip antenna out of a carbon pushrod from a hobbyzone champ and some wire I fashioned into a spring. I don't think it will break, or at least I'm hoping it won't. Not the best picture but you can get the idea.

Cool Re: Matts scx10 action!

Oh I've been busy with this truck and I think it's almost done (?)
So the updates are I:
-Flipped my winch and wired it out the drivers side
-Made an aluminum doghouse over the tranny to mount my electronics box and mamba to
-Made an aluminum battery mount, using the stock plate
-Installed the RC4WD CMS kit (awesome)
-Shaved the servo mount post off the front axle
-Made the cb whip antenna and spring mount
-Made a snorkle
-Made some fishing poles

And here come a mass amount of photo greatness!

Thank you!! I really like how the they fit as well! Not to bad for a first try. The only down side is if I ever get a new body the bumpers aren't going to be so fitting... Bummer
