| New scx 10 deadbolt
Hey guys I'm new to the crawler game, but I feel like I'm on the right track. I have done a couple DIY mods I'd love to hear what y'all think. I've trimmed the rock sliders and I've upgraded the drive gear to a metal one. Should have the mud slinger (tsl boggers) tomorrow. Just looking for some more tips and pointers. Take a look in the tips & tricks thread it will lead ya in right direction to what you want out of your scx!!! IMO I would run it til something gives like links,steering,knuckles,etc...you may want to consider clocking pinions with a lil longer upper links...the front just needs longer bolt & 1/4" spacer into y,rear will need new links of fab link risers to make suspension anti squat not squat setup! Get battery low as poss! With new tires/wheels ci foams will make huge difference. Maybe stuff driveshafts with some type of rod to strengthen. Just some inexpensive mods you can do without big cost that will make big difference. |

I agree with sic1to, also I would look into mirroring the trans. HUGE difference in my truck and as mentioned get the weight in the right places. Move the battery forward and down as much as possible. Good links, new foams and weight positioning will make it a very capable crawler. |

I'm trying to figure out how to move the battery forward. I've been searching the forum for a write up. And I plan on weighting the wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

here are a couple of threads Scx10 battery relocation Battery relocation pictures aren't the best but you should be able to get the idea. Extra servo mounts are included with your kit. Just try a few different positions and see what works best for you |

Parts are all in the kit to relocate the battery to the front, it's very easy. Really the very first thing you would want to replace is the steering links with a aluminum set, next I would do atleast your lower links in aluminum. Both upgrades are inexpensive.
