Default ATTN : WRONCHO OWNERS - Help

Just picked up a Trail Honcho and am trying to put my Wraith axles that I had from a previous project under it. I got the rear axle hung in with straight links with the Honcho skid plate/crossmember. . . I thought I'd be able to run it that way because I had the upper and lower links mounted to the frame instead of the skid plate. I flipped the skid plate to put the driveshafts on the same side as the diffs on the Wraith/AR60 axles. As soon as I did that the rear driveshaft made contact with one of the upper links. I tried changing the upper straight links to some bent links that I had and I still had contact issues. . . I really wanted to get away from having to run the Wraith skidplate and links because I don't want to widen the SCX10 frame. . . Is there any way around that?. What have you guys with Wronchos done?. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!

When I built my Power Wagon Conversion, I had the stock wheelbase scx10 power wagon, and what I did was use the wraith vanquish titanium links and curries along with the stock scx10 skid and for me everything pretty much worked out. The wheelbase was great as using the narrower scx10 skid instead of the wraith skid shortens the wheelbase to the longer scx10 length without having to shorten the links used. I also used the scx10 cms from vanquish setup with the panhard link and with some tweaking, I made that work for me as well. Hope this helps. I'm pretty sure that the wheelbase is very close to 12.3" or so.

The link that contacts the driveshaft you need to make yourself and have it bend over the driveshaft

Super simple

For mine I used all thread and shrink tube. And it was a very minor bend

I used axial 106 mm links in the rear for the lowers..98 mm axial for the front lowers.hot racing fixed length wraith links for all the uppers.i did have to bend the 4 uppers a little by hand...there is a little contact with the driveshaft but it dosent affect how it runs...sv3 with velineon motor..93mm gmade piggybacks...rc4wd boggers ....lots of fun on the trails an in the mud...good luck with the build..love mine

I used the rc4wd rock krawler wraith extended lenght links and didn't have to bend them at all but the tranny ouputs and diffs are on the same side.
