Default How to make headlights most scale....?

I have the Axial Jeep Rubicon and I just bought a new clear Rubicon body for it so I can paint it yellow. My question is what have you guys been doing to make your headlights look more scale besides using the stickers? The body came with clear light buckets that mount to the backside of the body and it says to paint (im assuming silver/chrome) and leave that part of the body clear. I would like to add LEDs later on but for now I just want to have them as scale looking as possible.

Post pics of yours and what you done.

Not necessarily more scale, but definitely more effective, I use mini maglight reflectors.

I've only used parts from AX80045, see picture. Red ones for headlights, blue for turning signals and green for the lights in the bumper. I've mounted the headlights upside-down (see red arrow) for a more clean look and painted the insides with silver paint. I've used Shoe-goo to attach them and Plasti-Dip to seal off the back to avoid light leakage and to avoid water reaching the leds.

Did you leave that part of the body clear when you painted the body? I'm trying to figure out exactly where you mounted the clear lenses.

That is an RTR-body, the C/R-edition, it was already painted. I don't know but it feels easier to cut a hole before you paint?

Well on the clear bodies you buy comes with masks for the headlight to use in junction with the light buckets like STANG KILLA SS did on his red Jeep above. I like the way yours looks with the clear lenses from the light bucket set, but im wondering if I would still leave my part of the body clear or cut it out. I have not painted my body yet so I have options.

I painted the inside of the lens bowl with Dupli-Color adhesion promoter, followed by a Dupli-Color chrome spray paint. LED's are warm whites. I used a cheapy light controller kit I got off Amazon for $12, but cut off the bluish (high temperature) whites and spliced in some warm whites I got off eBay.
