I love the looks of the SSD D60 axles but they do get hung up a bit more than the stock SCX housings. Their rock shield diff cover would probably help with that though. I'm about to start another build and I am probably going to use the ottsix TKO-10 housings.

I have the ssd diamond rear axle. After running 2 packs thru it on some trailing and crawling I love it. Very nice product for the price.

That way you'd have more shaft flat in lockers and even be able to use a VP locker w setscrews. My answer was that their shafts meet the same specs as axials so bugger off we don't care about fitting some other companies part... Well. Ok then.
Mike, I've recently viewed a thread or two in which folks were asking VP to produce a delrin slider for the Currie 9's. The individuals posted a pic of the SSD skid/delrin piece as an example for VP. I agree that VP's axles are amazing parts but wanted to put this info out.

Default Currie F9? Rockjocks? SSD Diamond Axles?

Yea the new f9 looks like an anchor too.

Edit-- and I still think the question to make longer shaft flats to the center is an excellent idea for any locker. Just in my case I had a vanquish. Should of worded it different. Longer flats going to almost touching in the center gives more contact patch in any locker.

I have owned several sets of curries and loved the look. My current set up's consist of 3 fully loaded sets of D60's (SSD) and a new set (still in box) of the TKO's and trusses. I'm holding out on the ottsix axles until Dan releases his revised brass tubes for them. I have been considering a set of F9's or SSD 9's but am holding off until VP releases a 3-link and slider and SSD releases a front scx version. It comes down to what you want brother.
