Does anyone have a few degrees of negative camber in their front axle? I can't see where I assembled my kit incorrectly, but it doesn't seem correct. The rear is fine. It's hard to capture on camera, so I won't bother posting a picture. |

This is from Axial's website; "KINGPIN ANGLE The AR44 axle was designed for both aesthetics and functionality. To improve upon the older AX10 axle, we designed the steering components with an 8 degree kingpin angle which results in a positive scrub radius. Making this change to the pivot point means less tire scrub for steering efficiency and less load on the steering servo." • 8 degree kingpin angle • Improved scrub radius over the AX10 axle Web page; Axial Racing - SCX10 II ~D |

| ![]() Are you referring to "pinion angle" as in the link length might be incorrect?

| ![]() ![]() This is obviously a bit dramatic, but this is what I am referring to. I overlooked the Kingpin angle clocking in the manual. It seemed like a fixed position which led me to think it was normal. But its different from the SCX10.1 so I was just curious. Thanks for the link "Say What?" This is what the googles pulls up on the matter.. ![]() |

I have a couple trucks with some slight negative camber. I know mine is caused by slop in the knuckles and stub shafts. I finally got around to getting shims to take out most of the slop but I've been too lazy to install them.

OOHHHH.... you're referring to "CAMBER" ![]() the comment about the rear being fine confused me... NO. I have no camber, neg or pos, when the wheel's are pointed dead ahead. |

There's no camber built in/intended. I do find though that the plastic wheels and other plastic steering components introduce a bit of slop giving it some camber if most of the weight is on the front wheel or rolling over a round object. Tolerances just aren't that small on the stock setup. Here's a picture of mine which shows this (it's looking worse than it is due to the angles / close-up photo). ![]() |

I was looking at mine the other day and noticed it had the same problem. I also noticed when I picked it up and started really looking at it. I noticed that the lower portion of the stock C hubs are actually slightly stressing or bending in an upward angle. Inducing a lot of negative camber. The lower portion is nearly riding on the universals as they rotate. I see an upgrade to an aluminum C hub set in my near future.

I have negative camber in a freshly built kit. Thought I messed up the assembly but everything seems in place. It is normal?

I have the kit that came with the older style of axles: ![]() Knuckles are impossible to get wrong, because of the panhard mount. C-hubs,apart from being clocked wrong, are correct. The no1 on the right, no2 on the left. Can't figure out what's wrong.I'm getting 4º of camber on each side Last edited by cooper_xl; 10-02-2022 at 05:42 PM.

just a tiny amount of slop anywere in the setup translates to alot of slop at the wheel some comapnys will adjust for this slop but its almost imposable to get it 100% every rig is different and besides who cares its a toy truck your tires wont ware funny theres no vibration and your not going fast enuff for any of it to matter anyway |

4º doesn't seem much but it's pretty noticeable. There's a 7,5mm difference at the top of the tire. I just would like to know the cause. Is a brand new kit

Without seeing pictures of the actual issue people can only speculate.

You guys sure you're not talking about Caster vs Camber? All these crawlers have 0°of camber. Otherwise the tires would be at a slant. If you're talking the kingpins being at an angle, that's intended.
