Default Rebirth of the Indiana DNR Rig--SCX10II style

Here is my old Indiana DNR body, pulled it out of the box and decided to rebuild it with the scx10II chassis and axles... waiting on parts to show up. I will be using the kit transmission in this build. On to a few starting pics, its damn hard to catch the blue and red blinking LED's on at the same time..

I have a HH TM35t ordered and a quicrun 1080 as well, the kit trans is on its way, as is the power HD servo. Those will allow me to get this rig running again. Its already got RB XL's on motoworx wheels..

Well, the trans came and the body and rear cage hit it when mounting it. So I will flip the trans and have to get a different bumper so i can use a bumper mounted winch...this rig will have to be on the back burner for awhile now as I am waiting the the parts from bowhouse rc

My Holmes TM Expert 35t motor, Power HD servo and my Quicrun 1080wp came in today so I got it put together with the trans flipped around. The trans is just held to the skid with the rear 2 screws so I cant really run it in the rocks and such until my trans mount comes from bowhouse RC. I did run it on the garage floor and its good to see it running again!

I am using the plastic servo arm that came with the servo temporarily until my racers edge aluminum servo arm gets here so all in all I am happy with the progress so far.

I will have to eventually also get the bowhouse rc battery cradle for it as I cut down the stock one for now. I can only put a 2200mah 3s in there for now but when I replace the cradle I will be able to put in a larger lipo.

the panhard mount on the shock tower cracked on me last week so I ordered the boom racing aluminum shock mounts and got them today. they seem well built and I will get them on later this week!

I got the boom racing front shock towers on and they fit surprisingly well. I also switched out the RB XL's for my flat iron XL's on axial beadlocks. I installed the VP input shaft for the kit trans and a metal spur gear. I know most dont like metal spur gears but I do, so I did

finally got out to the course today with my crawlers, the DNR did much better than I figured it would, the only thing I need to do is put a little heavier springs in the front end.
