if all that changes are the links then I'm not gonna wait for the kit. You get extra electronics for and extra $40. Idk about you guys but I'm on somewhat of a budget so I like having spare parts sitting around. Extra radio, reciever, servo and esc. Heck, if someone was selling thoughs parts all together, you guys know you would pay $40 for all of them together. I always by rtr and then upgrade cause they don't cost much more and with the spare parts I can build little basher trucks for me and my son to go destroy . Plus the link kits are only $50-$80 depending on what metal you get. But all of this is just IMO

If the specs are right and tower hobbies price is right then i see this as NO deal at all.. Tower has them for $50 less than the RTR.. All you get is 2 cvd's. Lower (only lower) aluminum links and a bit more grippy tires. What you don't get.. LED's, radio, reciever, ESC, motor. To me, that's worth a lot more dollars than 4 links and a pair of CVD's. Links you can make for $15 with all thread and brake line. CVD's that I always hear people complaining about instead of dog bones that seem bullet proof minus a couple degrees steering angle.. Just my opinion,, but seems like the wait was for nothing special for the selling price. Sent from my highly abused iPhone using Tapatalk |

A REAL kit should include all the aluminum goodies.. Come on Axial... Traxxas does it with their platinum and ultimate editions.. Your pathetic offering of 4 links and, 2 CVD's and grippy tires won't cut it.. The RTR will out sell it 10 to 1 I guarantee. Sent from my highly abused iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it's about a wash. The good tires and CVD's about offset the cost of the electronics. The clear panels are also a big plus as far as I see it.

Just thought Id offer my 2cents.... Its all a matter of what your looking for.... and or who it could be for.... i like the idea of the kit so i can add DMG parts too it and slowly build it.. but if your looking for something you can run instantly then yes the RTR is your best option.... Also a matter of how personalized you want to make it... I will wait for a better price then 300 bucks for the kit... since the RTR is 330 off of RPPhobby.com.. |

| the kit..
i believe that its just a matter of if you need or want to instantly take it out of the box and bash it today..myself i have plenty to play with-i want my build to be individual and unique to me--so for ME the kit is the perfect platform to build an individual and unique ride with all of my own personal touches thrown in...its all a matter of what you as an individual choose to do....THANX AXAIL the kit is fine for me..... |

If they sell for ~$250 like the Honcho when it came out then I might snatch one up.
