Well I finally got around to getting all the new electronics buttoned up. I'm not sure the Tekin 17.5 was the right choice. Or the Tekin and MMP combination. It just seems slow to me. Doesn't have the wheel-speed on 3s I was expecting. Anyone running this setup? Wondering if my settings and/or gearing just isn't where it should be. I've had some light bars made for sometime now, I just haven't been able to get the cases for them machined, so I've kept them under wraps for months now. However, I was sitting at the RC bench with one next to me, I looked up and saw my exacto knife, and a newly cut windsheild to the right, and decided lets put one in the windsheild! I cannot describe how bright these things are, and cannot get a decent picture with my Nikon to save my life, but boy is it sweet! To bad my stock drive line only lasted about 3 minutes until it twisted off. |

Is your Tekin/MMP combo faster in reverse? If so, it is likely an issue with the MMP. Ask me how I know! |

Speed is same both directions. I put the motor on 0* timing and set it up reverse in the MMP.

I programmed boost, and played with different RPM settings, but I couldn't ever seem to notice a difference. I know when I ran the Tekin RS Pro and Tekin motor with onroad you could really tell the difference. I played with it forever and just figured it was the 17.5 not being a low enough turn.

Honestly I thought my MMP/13.5 combo was on the slow side... I am going to try a 10.5 next time around, or a Tekin pro-4. Last edited by R/CMaxximus5.0; 10-19-2011 at 10:45 AM. |

Pro 4, 3,300 KV - 3s. Nuff' Said. Have one with my MMP and it is flat out wicked. Aweeeesome lowspeed, and perfect wheel speed (bout stock slash top speed).

Lookin Good! I am liking the lights inside and protected. I have the the Tekin 17.5 with a RSPro, was pretty quick on 2s, ran it tonight on a 3s-Wow! wicked quick (hit a curb and bent my new universal shaft). Keep the fresh products coming! |

I like the idea of a windshield. But I love the windshield with the lights in it!! Any plans on offering it like that?

The boards I have still need to be dipped to prevent corrosion, but gluing them in the windsheilds isn't something I want to do and sell Hopefully that makes sense?

I decided I wanted my battery out front, so stole some plastic from work to mockup something cheap and easy. Been kinda getting back into my old habits of making stuff work with what I have. I got spoiled for a bit, but need to go back to basics for a little while. I still have some plans for this guy that involves my machinist, but until we can get parts when we need parts, I'm deciding to just play and enjoy the once hobby again. So I took a template I had from another competitor, and realized it was garbage so I changed it up some to fit my needs, leaving room for when my servo winch parts get here and 2 velcro slots. Here's what I came up with. I also robbed the MIP's of another rig I had so I can get some video of this thing in the woods near my house. I tossed in a 22T pinion with the stock spur and it must its over gears because it coggs like a SOB. Not happy with this setup at all. Word from my peers tells me its the MMP so not sure what to do.. None the less, it was still pretty fun!

I've been running an Mmp with a Tekin 13.5 for a while. I would say on 3s pretty happy and on 4s it's a little crazy for a Wraith. I have a 2s 17.5 setup in my Honcho and that's rather slow. I would say it's probably a motor issue your having with power and speed. The Pro4 I have heard is a wicked upgrade, I'll be making the move myself when the local store gets one in. Good luck.
