WOW this is getting ridiculous. Scale = realistic looks. Removing the servo from the axle gives a more scale look period. Saydee take a look at custom front linked suspensions that DO NOT have full hydro chances are it'll be a 3 link with a panhard. Oil pan clearence is a common issue when building a linked suspension, so people run a 3 link. Anyway, to answer Sloppy I'm using ax10 axles cause I have them and I don't think the stock Wraith looks very scale in stock form especially when running some 1.9s. It's just my opinion so no need to start a debate. I don't care what people think about my plans. All I'd really like to know is if the VP CMS mount will allow me to slide it back on the chassis before I buy it. I'm planning on running a 12-12.5" wheelbase not the 13+" or what ever it is. I'm only going to the buy the servo mount and I'll make the panhard mount myself. Brandon can you chime in on this for me please? |

I also would like to know if you can slide the servo back so you can shorten the front wheel base. I'm thinking it would take a lot of work with custom mount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sorry guys I just got stuck on scale appearance over performance. It is now very clear it looks cool but can hurt your steering. As does a Hand brother kit.

I've never had any downsides to a properly setup 3 link w/panhard CMS configuration. I love the way they look and performance is fine in my experiences.

I just checked the clearance on mine. You can NOT move it any further back due to the servo itself hitting the bumper brace/shock mount/cage mount "block" along with the factory located radio box. It can move forward, but no more than maybe 1/4" due to the servo horn hitting the back end of the bumper. I just had a thought. It *may* be possible to reverse the servo in the mounting flange to have the servo horn facing the cab of the truck. It probably won't work, but just a thought. Marcus

My question is if you run a vp linkage and steering upgrade, can you just use the servo mount under the chassis and still have a 4 link system.

So I got the VP CMS in a set of VP parts I bought used. I have not yet been able to get the panhard setup. 4 link with CMS has lots o' chassis roll & bumpsteer for sure. My question is: When I get the panhard set & go 3 link can I keep the panhard bar from hitting the axle 1st @ full compression? It looks like the panhard bar will hit the axle brace before my shocks bottom out @ this point. If it will limit my front suspension travel I can save some $ & possibly get rid of the CMS & go axle mount. |

You could move it back with a "shorter" servo.
