Did the quick fastback mod. Finally got around to cutting the aluminum hood to clear the shocks.

Added a little towing accessory

.

Oh, and I orders a bunch of goodies. New tires, beadlocks, G-Made PiggyBack shocks, and some scale accessories like hooks and shackles.

Took my brand new Wraith out today within 3 min I blew out my right rear hub, 2 min later the left went out then had a 2 wheel drive truck. Not real impressed so far. Bought my first set of Vanquish stuff, alumni hub set and hubs.

You must have been spanking on it pretty hard. Or either they were out of spec from the factory. I havent had any trouble out of mine yet.

Bought a replacement motor. The factory one is finally dieing on me. Lasted a pretty good while though. I'm broke at the moment so instead of the Tekin 35T & FXR I want to order, I just went with the Axial 27T For $17. lol... hopefully it will last until I can save up for the Tekin.

A lot!! Lol. I'll update my thread with pictures.

Put in several hours of work today.

The factory motor was pretty much done. Don't have the $doe$ for the Tekin I want so I popped in an axial 27T for now. For $17 bucks hopefully it will get me thru a few weeks.

Put my pup Shiloh over in the passenger seat. All they had was chocolate labs so I had to krylon her black since she's, well, a black lab after all. Lol

Made a tow cable w/ the hooks I bought a few weeks ago. Also made some hood pin safety cables.

I removed all of the factory lights. Wasn't using them anyway. Which allowed me to trim the bar they were mounted to. Which in turn now allows the servo to tuck all the way up into the frame and give me a lot more articulation up front.

Lastly I moved the NOS bottles down to the bed cover. Still need to get some tube to plumb them up.

I made my own body panels. The rear is from RPP. Not sure how I'm going to do the rear yet. I really don't want a flat cover... Put in the open interior. Put Rx in the rear and ESC up front. Battery is in front as well. Boom Racing linkage.
Axial universal front axles.
MIP drive shafts.
Hot Racing steel transmission gears.
Turnigy 1258TG servo.

First time Axial owner, bought my Wraith Poison Spider last month ran it three time now. Prior to running added alumni links. Day 1 inside the house life was good. Day 2 lasted 4 min before I stripped out the rear hubs & replaced with Vanquish all the way around (last week). Day 3 (last night) Lasted 2 min blew out the servo just ordered the Vanquish servo mount, Axial servo horn, and cheap RC Gear Shop servo ($60). Kind of surprised how much this thing is costing me & I have yet to get though a full battery.

Converted my TSX45 servo to all metal and it's been perfect. Just make sure every gear is metal.

Got it running 2 nights ago and ended up swapping out the open rear diff for a locked one, stock iron cross for now.

Ran it yesterday for it to end up only being front wheel drive and in minutes one of the screws on the drag link backing out! Upon closer inspection the set screw for the rear drive shaft at the axle wasn't lining up, and replaced the front screw with a longer one and a nylock nut.

Went to run it today and one of the screws on the front upper link mount kept backing out, and one of the screws for the knuckles backed out. Also the rear sway bar came apart

I'm doing a very slow paced rebuild of my first ever RC, a Wraith Spawn. I have two or three other active builds but whenever I find a good deal or a must have new release, I snatch it up and find the best home for it. VP just released some new 5mm universals that are rebuildable and come with 60 degrees of steering right out of the package. As soon as I saw them I ordered up a set and there's no way I can put such a nice new part in an old beat up axle housing so a new VP housing was added to the cart as well. Axial HD ring and pinion, VP diff cover, DMG skid, VP scale clamping hubs, and DLux Fab brass knuckles, truss, and steering links round out the build. This is one beefy axle. Everything spins smooth and feels very solid. Another benefit from this combo was the complete absence of any slop at the wheels. Usually you get some end play on the knuckle and stub shaft unless you shim it out on the inside bearing but this setup is tight as a drum with no binding. Very happy with the results.
