| Has anyone made there own steering and drag link
Just wondering if anyone has made there own steering and drag links for the wraith. I have some extra stainless 8-32 all thread and 4mm stainless tubing. I have made my own suspension links but have not done any bends. Anyone have any pics. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2 |

I try to make all my links. Just use the old ones for a template.

What is the best way to get a 20 degree bend in the links. Dies the tube bend easy with the allthread inside. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2 |

I'm getting ready to do this to my wraith. Done it befor on my berg, just use the old part as a guide to make your bends. I chuck mine up in a vise, though this will leave marks. I've heard of guys using small brake line and a brake line bender. I have never used a bender due to the fact the ss tubing is to tough for it. There are ss benders out there but get your wallet out!

Harbor freight has a tubing bender that is pretty tough. 1/8" to 1/4" Tube Bender Or this Tubing Bender - Save on this Manual Tubing Bender ... When I have used SS I got tube with a small hole inside it and I threaded it with a tap. Then use a short piece of threaded rod at the ends and thread lock it in. |

I use the second. Mark the center of your bend about 3/8" of an inch further back than you think it should be. Make sure to try on a scrap piece before committing to the nice stuff. I do thick wall 1/4" AL tubing from McMaster Carr (I think it has a 0.040" id).

My first attempt with the 1/4" bend. I'm going to redo it.
