Wish I had the $$ to buy it, this is the coolest thing I have ever seen done with a wraith chassis |

Thanks! This is all pretty easy work, other than the custom 3D printed parts. I love the look, and I hope the next owner will drive the snot out of it. Thanks! I wanted to try something unique. From earlier in the thread: I haven't weighed it since then, but all that has changed was the rear cage mod. This still needs a transmission and drive shafts as well as electronics, so I think the 5lb mark is attainable pretty easily.

Just throwing this out there cuz I saw EZ JK 2DR in the preview but I ended being the owner of that body for quite some time man, I had TONS of compliments on it because of the color and the way you integrated the dingo interior/cage with the 2dr JK. This build was another one of those for sure! Amazing integration and creativity with a perfect outcome. Excellent work man and hopefully I can get my hands on another one of your projects in the future - Richard |

| Re: Project "Wringo" - 1.9 Wraith + Dingo The axles and transmission were borrowed from this to build my Sportsman 2.2 Comp rig, but now that I'm just running the 2.2 pro, this will get a rebuild. I've got some interesting things coming for it, but there won't be any updates for a little bit with all my other projects going on. Quote:
Glad to hear the JK is being used and appreciated. I loved building it, and I was sad to see it go, but it is in a better place being driven compared to sitting on my shelf.

Is there any way youd be willing to share the final linkages lengths on this build. Im wanting to build one with a Dingo body, and any help is appreciated.

| Re: Project "Wringo" - 1.9 Wraith + Dingo I will have an update very soon that shows the prototype chassis rails, as well as some ways to make these Class 1 legal. I'll post up link lengths when I get that going... Stay tuned!

I haven't measured links yet, but here's a little update: I bought a honcho bed/cage and started grafting the cage pieces together: Inspired by JIA's Wroncho My Way but done a little different than he did. I still need to secure the back part of the body, and make a new rear section that matches the honcho bed better (think diamond plate styrene) and while I am at it, I will add some diamond plate to the hood. There are also a couple minor adjustments I want to make to the top of the cage. Here's a pic of the prototype chassis rails mounted up before I started the rear cage work: They came out pretty good, but there are instantly some changes that I will need to make to the design. There were a couple measurements that were off, and some areas that need some more support. I'll get a new set ordered and get to testing these. |

I think he is referring to the boxxy shape of the body it similar to that of a vw thing or German car of that era

Very cool build! Some design inspiration with the honcho bed lines.

Question for ya, i just setup my 1.9er for a 11.5" wheelbase as well (I'll be borrowing your body style but going white) Did you trim up any of the front chassis to get the axle to flex and still have steering? I've got no flex with the wheels turned as the tires rub the chassis. |

Looking at your thread, it looks like your front axle is tucked in more than I have mine set up at. For me, I put the dingo body on so that the back of the body is flush with the back of the chassis (before I meshed the honcho cage) this way, I could push the front out as far as possible to clear everything. If you are getting a clear body, line up the door lines so they are pretty much centered in the 4 holes that the side panels mount to. My Scale Tech Frame Rails give a tiny bit more clearance, but not a huge amount.

Got it, thanks. I'll be going with a new clear body (but won't be till next paycheck, so i'm about 3 weeks out for the body) So guess i'll just lengthen the front links for the time being. Thanks for the reply. And that bumper, is that something you printed? I might be interested in one of those but with a winch mounting area if you would make em. |
