Default Brushed Motor Connectors...

So its been awhile since I have played with putting connectors onto any brushed motors. I dont want to put any of those cheap bullet connectors that come pre soldered onto the cheap motors. I am getting my Tekin FXR and 35T Pro motor on wednesday and I want some good "Quality" connectors. I really dont want to solder the esc directly to the motor either like I have seen some guys do.

What do you fellas recommend ??

I use deans battery connectors for motor connections when using a brushed motors, but ive also direct soldered to the esc which obviously works too but the plug is nice for maintenance etc.

Deans all the way. Run em on both my rigs and batteries, Kind of a pain to solder but work excellent

I have always used Deans on my batteries and esc's. Whenever I got a new motor in the past I have always just removed the old leads and re-soldered them to the new one.

In this case I want really nice connectors to do the job...Anybody ever use Tekin bullet connectors or Castle Bullet connectors on brushed motors??

Really nice connectors? What more would you need than deans? Holmes hobby has gold bullet connectors I guess..

If you had gotten a BRXL they come with pre-installed 4mm bullet connectors for the motor leads.

I use Castle 4mm bullet connectors for all my motor to esc connections. Never had an issue with them.

One of the reasons I didn't get the BRXL is I have read it has scary power (torque). My setup is already pretty torquey the FXR is only gonna make it worse. I cant imagine even more torque than what I have seen with the FXR, I dont want to break my driveshafts and or the axles right away. Ill save that for later when I have more money to throw into the pit.

The ESC is not going to give you more torque in most situations unless your previous ESC was limiting you. Your motor and voltage you are running it at is what dictates the power. The ESC just has to be able to supply it.

IF I use connectors I only use bullet connectors. I find deans to be too bulky and you not as handy. If for some reason you switch the motor into a new rig you may want to be able to reverse the polarity which you cannot do with Deans.

Castle Bullets are my suggestion if you insist on installing connectors.

Same here. I used to use deans because they were cheap. Now all I'll use is Castle bullet connectors. Makes it really easy to swap motors and between cars.
