Default New Wraith Owner coming soon

Hey Guys

My first day here, I'm going to purchase the Wraith Kit and have a Super fun Build, my question for you experts is this..

I'm Not so much of a Crawler as I may like, Mostly because of where I live, I'm Mostly a basher, that being said what ESC, Motor and Servo as well as what Upgrades would you slap on the kit right away while I'm building it..

Thanks

OK Guys

I'm gonna go Tekin RX8 and Pro 4 3300 KV

Since I'm building the kit, what Upgrades would you do right away to handle the Power??? This is my First Wraith and I'm psyched...

Robinson Racing Axial Wraith One Piece Hardened Steel Outdrive/Diff Locker Gear RRP1555 ?
CKRC Heavy Duty Drive Shaft Kit For The Wraith ?

Vanquish knuckles, chubs, lockouts, steering and suspension links. Robinson Racing steel tranny gears. Good steering servo (hitech 7950), Mayhem, Vanquish or other good wheels and tires of choice.

Ditch the rx8, and get a Castle mamba max pro, you'll like it better! Don't forget the idler gear! Servo wise, 7955 to 7990. And get the mip's the trusted name not ckrc. And get the robinsons racing gen 3 slipper fir the slash, do the supershafty conversion, and go 32pitch. After that i would reccamend, hd diff gears front and rear with Hot Racing 1 piece spools. Thats a bullet proof wraith! Plus the vanquish candy!

With the upgrades that come standard with the kit (universals, aluminum lower links, etc) it's not bad out of the box. My approach was just build and see what breaks, then figure out what upgrades I really need for my driving rather than spend a bunch of money up front. Of course if you are going very high power than some of the upgrades people are suggesting are inevitable. There are two upgrades that no one has mentioned that are absolute must haves in my oppinion though. Number one is an aluminum servo horn! The stock plastic ones don't last even on the stock rtr servo so if you get one of those high torque numbers it'll be stripped out in minutes. Mine lasted about a half hour of light front yard goofing around. Luckily I had already ordered the aluminum one so I had it just waiting to install. The second one is beadlock wheels. Those tires aren't cheap so it seems a shame to glue them on the rims. Plus if you are running beadlocks you can easily play with different amounts of weight in the wheels or try out some other tires. You could go ahead and splurge for some nice aluminum ones or if you are trying to keep the budget a little bit in check you could get some of the axial plastic ones. I'm running the axial 8 holes. They're nothing special but they look pretty good and get the job done untill I get around to buying some vanquish aluminum wheels.
