Default Switching to lipo?

I have a stock Wraith and I want to switch it over to lipo. I want the longest run time possible. I want to run a 5000mah . Will that fit if I want to mount it in the front under the hood. I don't know anything about lipos. With the stock electronics do I want to use a 2 cell 7.4V or a 3 cell 11.1V. On a 2s2p what does the 2p stand for. What C rating do I want? And what does the C rating stand for.

Next I have a Pro-Peak Sigma II EQ charger I bought several years ago but never switched any of my road cars to lipo. How do I determine how much voltage to charge with?

SO what do I really need to know about lipos? Are there any good writes ups about everything I need to know on Lipo choice and charging?

Thanks
Jeff

Thanks for the links.

I have another question about lipos?

My Wraith has a Spektrum D3X receive and stock speed control and motor.

What do you guys think the approx. run time would on each of these lipo's. I will be doing only low speed crawling. Should I go with 2s2p or 2s1p?

5000mah 2s1p 35-70c 7.4V

6200mah 2s2p 65-130c 7.4V

Thanks

I predict that your motor will get way too hot before you get a third of the way through a 5000mah 2s. I assume that by stock, you mean 20t Axial. Stock electronics will hold your big battery's run times back! You will easily get 45 minutes run time, just with breaks in between.....

All last summer I ran 2s 4000mah 30c and they would last about 1 1/2 hours with a hh35t, hithe7954, and ccbec

Yo bro, NOTHIN like lipo. You will love it. I run a 4000 3 cell sky lipo 30c on my wraith with a MMp ,ballistic 18.5 and get 2 1/2 hour crawl time per batt, with MAD wattage to the cottage!!! run a 1300 sky lipo 3 cell 20c about 40 min crawl time. HOBBYPARTZ is the place!! Have a blast
