Default Harley's Wrexo

I'm late to this bandwagon but they didn't quite grab me until I saw the new Blue Monkey EXO conversion. I just so happen to have a brand new Wraith chassis and a full Exo sitting here in the shop to make the conversion happen.

$69 later and I was anxiously waiting for my kit to arrive. When I returned from Nationals the package had arrived. I didn't get to work on it until tonight but so far I am very happy with the purchase. I plan to build this thing to the hilt with all the goodies from Vanquish, Holmes Hobbies, Super Shafty, Futaba, TZIworld, the DMG, MORE LLC and Crawler Innovations.

Dang. Video still being "processed."

Patience.

Always wanted to do a Wrexo conversion since I first saw JIA's.
Someday.

Haha, I didn't even think about it compared to the new chassis you picked up. This thing really fell together quickly. I've got a LOT of parts to buy for this rig though. Almost the entire EXO front end needs to be replaced from what I hear.

These are the shocks I will be using. They are the Team Durango shocks from the DESC410Rv2. From what I hear these shocks are incredible.

I also got two of the spring tuning kits, a soft and a hard. Each kit comes with 8 PAIRS of springs. So I'll have all the tuning options I could ever need!

I'm really looking forward to these shocks. I got some feedback from a couple racers before making the choice.

The steering link geometry looks off. Like the bell crank arms are too short. Do you foresee any issues?

Something is most definitely off up there as I mentioned in the video. I think it is just the length of the tie rod links but I'm not sure yet. From what I've seen, I believe I have them in the right spot and I bought the part number that BMRC suggested. We'll see when I take a closer look.

Good choice on the shocks...! You've always got some good write ups too! Only thing I see is the front will need to be a harder set of springs than what Durango makes. Their Hard is quite soft in the front of these trucks. At speed theres a lot of dive in the corners.

I'll absolutely take that under consideration. I haven't got the springs yet do I've yet to experience what they consider HARD.

Very interesting build so far. I've been interested in this idea for some time, just way outta my budget for now. Look forward to the next video. I've been a subscriber for a little while now. Keep up the good work man.

Steering is off. Look like the bellcrank is too far back, your ackerman is going to be wacky. Check the position and angle of the tie rods on the stock EXO steering setup and try to mimic that as much as you can.

Ill be watching

I was looking at it last night and was kind of wondering the same thing. I don't see any holes in the chassis further forward that would work. I think this is just the way it was designed. I might check with BMRC to see if I have something installed incorrectly. Otherwise once I get everything together I will see if I can move the steering more forward.

It's hard to tell on his photo if his steering is further forward.
