Default Suicide steering.....?

Hello all! I was browsing C K R C today. The suicide steering setup for the Wraith caught my eye. Anyone running suicide? Pros and cons? Performance difference? Seems as of the servo might not be working as hard to move. Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

I think it is a gimic. It may look nice but it doesn't perform as advertised. With suicide steering the wheels do not turn at the same rate through their travel. Why would anyone want this, I don't get it.

Suicide steering is simple and offers good ackerman angles, works really well for pan cars and F1 for instance. The advantages of suicide steering on a Wraith will be lost completely on the fact that you have a locked differential. If you were running strickly for speed on dirt (no crawling) with 3 open diffs and anti roll bars I could see the advantage, but nobody is using a Wraith that way, at least I hope not. The downside is that it is most certainly harder on the steering servo and CVDs and in the rocks you want the front wheels pulling the same direction, not splayed apart at full lock.

Well.....I think I found what I was looking for. Thanks everyone! I guess I'll forget about how pretty it looks and just leave it the way it is. *thumbs up* ?

It looks nice?

The fact that the servo horn is not centered between the wheels makes it not work anything near pan cars or f1. You want looks?... Take the servo off the axle
