| British Wraith Progression thread
So I got back from work and had my lovely new Wraith sitting pretty in its box ready for me. I had already ordered a few parts for this little beast. The plan is to paint the outside of the shell with a Union Jack style rat paint scheme. Wacky I know but we'll see where this ends up. Here she is when she was bone stock: Heres a quick image to show bone stock flex: The first thing I did was threw in a battery and gave her a run around the street. Once I was satisfied I had a bench mark to make progress from I cranked in the RC4WD steering arms and drag link: I have a few parts that need installing but I've had no motivation to install a full set of links so I'm picking up the motivation to do this soon. I've also got a couple of sets of springs so I can change the stiffness of the suspension. As things sit she sits a little high and rolls easy so I'm thinking about putting softer springs and reducing the pre-load, any ideas on this? I'm going to leave the electronics as they are for now until I fry them as I'm not looking for super performance at this early stage. Here are the parts that I have to go in: I was also playing with the idea of some new wheels and tyres. Being in the UK we have a very limited supply of wheels and tyres and they are extremely expensive. I'm talking $80 for a set of baja claws and $180 for a set of DC-1's Any way the stock wheels seems to have a fair bit of play in them so I'll see how they hold up Ill keep posting as I do more upgrades and mods. |
