I don't think I need to see any more of this build progress. My mind is made up.

I'll get a g6 kit, and throw my wraith axles and 2.2's on it, and throw the AX axles on my wraith, slap a Dynamic concepts body and am asian Barbie doll in it for the wife.

Not nearly done yet. The trans is fubar...the screws were cranked down so hard that it warped the case and you can't properly assemble it without an inordinate amount of drag. I've got gears and a case on its way from SuperShafty.

We've got a really nice weekend coming up, and several of us locals decided to get together and do some trail running. I made some quick work of a few things to get it drivable, and if the SS parts show up tomorrow it will be. If not, then it'll have to stay home.

Trans parts didn't make it Saturday, so the weeWraith had to stay at camp.

After spending several hours trail running with all of my buddies 1.9 scalers, I've decided this will be my dedicated trail/G6 rig. Time to get it suitably equipped.

Rebuilt my servo winch and made a mount for it.

Since I needed a fairlead out front, I decided I'd make it a dual purpose deal and put a bunch of leds into the package.

Kazow!

I don't think that'll be bright enough

Have any build tech in that winch?

I don't think it'll be bright enough either. I'm gonna build more.

No useful tech, just my version of a KMS style winch using a HeyOK 2 pos controller. It hasn't been properly tested yet, just spooled out and back in a couple of times.

LEDs are from a cheap eBay led strip. Not quite as bright as some of the others available, but cheap enough to play with and not be too upset if you screw them up. Cut to length and solder your wires on.

Little update: I'm really happy with this rig. We've been mapping out routes for a G6 run here locally, and I've been driving this instead of the 2.2 Wraith to stay on par with most of the other rigs that will show up. The winch has been working beautifully, and everything has been staying together really well apart from killing a steering servo last time out. I haven't yet had a chance to finish the lights...too many other things going on.

Since this little guy has become my new favorite rig, I decided it was time to whip up some new wheels for it.

Still sitting about 90% done, haven't had time to do much to it, let alone drive it. I decided the wheels were too blingy and moved them over to my JK. Its now rocking some delrin kidney beans. Also, I whipped up some quicky aluminum side panels that wrap around the back of the cab...kinda gives it a truggy look.

Not interested in selling it just yet...
