Found my plug. Had a few beers will ski 5s and go straight to 6s



so this thread broke phone though it did record a 22mph top speed. not sure this represents the actual speed i can run on 6 cell or just what was recorded for this run on the gravel. also not sure how close i got to full throttle

Samsung galaxy s5 active is enroute, off course in camo so I loose it while hunting.. I'm excited been a few years since I've had a new phone

16mp camera compared to the 8 on my atrix HD. I'm a photo junkie

So strapping my phone on and making speed runs and crashing turned out to be a good thing

I used a Garmin hand held GPS that I strapped to the front of my Wraith.

I only have a crappy 3S that is probably not meant for doing anything this crazy. I did try my best..LOL

I have a MMP with a Tekin Pro 4 3300kv motor. 32P 56T/14T combo. Stock HD gears in rear and an open front diff made with HPI gears. Transmission is the HR aluminum body with HR metal gears inside. MIP Wraith drive shafts.

I could only muster 25.8 kph....which is just over 16mph. I think it was the battery. Oh well I am sticking with my 2S 30C 5000mah battery.

16 is fast. I crash mine if it goes much over 10


I want be doing anymore speed runs. I love the new phone.

Could very well be the battery. I have a s3 that seems to have half the power of my other 3s Batts.

Yeah I won't be doing anymore high speed runs but wanted to try and join the club here.

The 3S battery I have is a tiny little 900mah 20C so yeah it must be that! It did bump up my speed about 5 km/h over the 2S 30C 5000mah battery I started using.

It was fun to try what I had but I am not going to break my precious Wraith now.

20 discharge is low power out put

25.3mph on 3s 3200 30c, 4550kv 4 pole, geared 18/87, on pavement. MIPs, RR idler and one piece lower trans gears. Poor pitbulls grow an inch or two


Proper 32p gearing already ordered, and boost/timing turned off.

Quickest run was 10mph with stock electronics, motor & gears. Using Venom 2S 5000 20C battery. Based on what I've read here, 10mph is about max for stock Wraith. I am not fired up about more speed because of my diminished driving skills, but get a rush out of the screaming Wraiths on this thread.

My Wraith with 87/18 gearing, stock 20T motor and running 2S LiPo, measured out at 8mph.

That same setup on 3S ran 11mph. Both GPS recorded.

My wraith with 11/57 gearing, mamba max pro, tenshock sc411 3500kv on 6s= GPS recorded 26 mph in pretty short grass. May do 27 on smooth paved surface.

Should be a lot faster than that on 6S?

With a 4550kv motor, geared similarly on 3S mine was doing 25. You should be about 150% of that.

Your geared slightly faster than me, higher kv motor, and on pavement. Not 100% sure I reached top speed. It was pretty uncontrollable at that speed.

Volts x KV = motor speed.

11.1 x 4550 = 50505 rpm

22.2 x 3500 = 77700 rpm

Find some pavement, I want to know what that bad boy tops out at
