I've never had a roc412 so I can't objectively compare the two. But I can say this - I would not consider replacing this motor for anything. Take that for what it's worth.

I am going to go home and try and recreate your video tonight. Granted I am only on 2s but that really shouldn't matter. I am more into the slow smooth aspect than top speed.

Sure. Speed is 3500kv - Quite predictable. Power is batshit crazy. Start-up is super smooth. Hard to describe - people need to drive it. I'll try to get a good representation on vid

That's the setup I plan to go with so looking forward to seeing what it can do.
What gearing are you running?

I have an identical setup to yours Angus and did finally make the jump to 3s. Wish I did it sooner.

just as I had asked Angus, could you post videos showing the power and speed of the motor on 3S?

Over the weekend I pulled out the 3500kv Puller Pro and dropped in the 4500kv Puller Pro.

Left the gearing alone (still 56/12). Still on 3S.

It's holy-shit fast and still crawls like the 3500 did in the video down in this thread. I would highly recommend it if you have a bombproof rig.

Hey Angus; mind if I ask how your liking the 4500kv vs the 3500kv? now that you've surely got alot more runtime on both of them?? Looking to run one of those two in my Bomber and do alot of hill climbing and trailing.

Are the 4500kv's 3s compatible? I know alot of the lower kv motors are and the higher kv's aren't.

I run the 4500kv on 3S exclusively and it is very seriously powerful. unless you bombproof your bomber, the 4500 will tear it to bits. I broke an MIP with mine.

Another thing to consider is that the 4500 draws a lot of current, and will chew through batterypacks quickly. And my MMP's fan runs on superturbospeed most of the time. It's a fantastic motor and I love it in the Gangsterwraith, but it's for fun - the 3500 might be a better choice for trailing and "normal" use.

not trying to steer you away, just be advised of high power, as JRH would say.

The 3500kv on 4S is another option. I have driven that combo in a Wraith and it is beastly powerful. Dropping down to a 3S pack will bring it back to overpowered from insanely overpowered.

Right on; thanks for the reply Angus. Think I'll roll with the 3500 puller pro. I've been trying to make up my mind for a month now. Finally. Decided. HH Puller pro 3500. Loved reading your thread even though you never did make that video of you running like you said you would

Great looking rig Angus and looks like your extremely satisfied with your purchase... I'm a newb to crawling and was interested in someone with experience giving real data on the hh, ROC412 and Pro4. I have the 412 and low down it looks very similar in terms of control but I am running a Team Orion Pro r10 ESC which probably has something to do with that. I'm running 5000mah 3s 40c, 56/12 and 36/14 ring & pinion gearing and top end is too FAST at full throttle ... I can't tell if there is any difference compared to your top end though ... Would be great to see your rig running at full throttle to really determine if there is a '54%' difference between tekin and hh.
