Thanks for the ad. Pretty new to the hobby world but what I have experienced so far has been awesome. Decided I wanted a decent crawler so I have done alot of research and finally found the crawler for me. Pulled the trigger on a Spawn. Should be here in a couple of days. Any tips or tricks I should be aware of ?

Hey welcome! The spawn was my first crawler back in May, since then I added an scx10 ii to the mix. As far as mods, there’s a bunch floating around here. Harley’s got a pretty good thread going. I did mine on somewhat of a budget, first thing was moving the battery tray forward. I went over it a little in my wraith thread. I then set up the suspension for droop which helped but ultimately ended up with some 110mm king shocks. If you’re just crawling the rc4wd 35t motor was a great upgrade and while you’re there add steel gears to the transmission. Eventually you’ll want to upgrade to a high torque steering servo and castle BEC but I waited until I wore out the stock one. *Vanquish incision steering links are a great upgrade too and an aluminum servo Horn Otherwise just enjoy the thing! They’re a blast Last edited by Fricker08; 01-25-2020 at 11:02 AM. |

x2 on moving the battery up front right away, getting a powerful steering servo & BEC installed, and the Incision steering links Wraiths are awesome, congrats on your new acquisition! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
