Default Wraith 1.9 Link Question

I'm pretty new to crawlers, sorry if this is a stupid question...

So, most of the link sets I've seen for the Wraith 1.9, or the OG seem to be a 4 link set up doing away with the Panhard rod on the front, is this the norm ? The VP set that I've seen is like this and most of the after market kits as well.

I'm also sure I've seen that the SCX10ii kits fit the 1.9 Wraith (keeping the panhardrod) and extends the WB to 313, is that correct.

What's the advantage/dis advantage of a 4 link set up.

Thanks

The SCX II 12" kit is what you want. The vanquish kit has a panhard and draglink.
