I split this thread into two threads, one for the live build comments and this one for the build and tech thread.

Big thanks to dpdsurf for building the majority of this rig then tearing it apart a dat later so I can get these pics.

Here is the front axle housing

The gear box

The front axle fully assembled

Here you can see the trick steering system that is integrated into the axle housing.

Here is the rear axle

The chassis and electronics tray

Here you can see the ESC tray, seems like it was designed with the small footprint of Tekin FXR's because they fit like a glove standing upright back to back.

Installed into the chassis

The two holes in the middle allow for the ESC receiver leads to be cleanly routed to the receiver.

The wheels are Vanquish Products designed and top notch. They are extremely easy to mount HB Rover tires to and come with a slick weight system (enough to use on the front wheels).

And finally as a roller with ESC's and servo installed

it looks like you could get a little more front clearance if you mounted the link on the back side of the servo horn. looks awesome!

I hate to paint bodies so as soon as this rig showed up I put in a call to Freq E Tag to design me a RCC themed skin for the XR10 body. Got word today that it was shipped out via overnight delivery so I can get it installed tomorrow.

Are the wheels vented? I never thought about it or noticed anyone saying anything.

Nope, you will need to drill holes to vent them, only one of the wheels in my pics have holes drilled which is why they have flat spots.

Nope, the link would most likely hit the servo case.

You could move the front shocks back to the links, cut off the driver's side servo mount from the housing, fab up new mounts, and move the servo back further, maybe a lot further.

Hey Badger, you're right, the FXR's look trick in there. Probably why Brandon is running them too. **edit: although your soldering still looks like snot, should have called Dean!!

So the question is, can this rig imrove your driving??

Looking forward to September!!

It will mount behind with the correct horn. This one is inverted.
